"I was expecting so much more given my visits to the North Columbus location. This was my first visit to Mercury Ave, and I am extremely disappointed. I was literally given the leftover fatty pieces of the brisket. Some of the pieces look as if they were already chewed. I wish I had not driven all the way home to Phenix City before checking. I will say the bread and potato salad was good. Collards left a lot to be desired. There was no sauce in the platter, but I'll live."

"We made a visit to our extended family in Columbus, Georgia and had to make our pilgrimage here. It has been over 30 years since I first came here and it has not changed much. In this case, not changing is good. The Cue Stew and BBQ Ribs Platter are as amazing as they were on my first visit. I look forward to coming back for another 30. I recommend the lightest, hottest sauce on the ribs. If you are not too hungry, the Cue Stew is a really great option. And, of course, you have to have sweet tea. We didn’t have room this time, but there lemon meringue pie is amazing!"
