Reviews
"I ordered the chicken curry roti. I was so disappointed. I think they added sweet potatoes to it. It was terrible considering how delicious the regular chicken curry is. Epic fail. What a waste of $16."
"Absolutely loved this place. Trying to lose weight and didn’t want the fast food late a night. This was right up my alley. I ordered the veggie plate without the black beans and everything was very good and tasty. Thank you for the late hours… it was a blessing bc I was searching Google for a good restaurant and I finally found you guys. Price was reasonable for all the food you get."
"I honestly wasn’t going to come due to the reviews but I gave it a try… and I don’t regret it a bit!! Literally so good and affordable! Definitely will be coming back!!"
"Solid classics available late. There’s a few options for Jamaican in the neighborhood, but this one does value and convenience best. Oxtail plate was massive and included cabbage, rice and peas, and a couple plantains. Everything on this plate could have benefitted from a little more cook time. The oxtail, while soft and easily taken off the bone, lacked the depth of flavor and texture that comes from cooking low and slow. The cabbage and rice and peas still had some crunch. The plantains seemed like they hadn’t been allowed to fully ripen. As far as bang for buck, this plate was well worth the price. I got 3 full meals out of it. I wouldn’t order the additional sides of mac and cheese or yams again. The mac is Caribbean casserole-style, basically just pasta and one kind of cheese. The yams seemed like they might’ve come from a can. Also got a spicy chicken patty that was fine, if a little dry/left out too long. I was a little disappointed by the key lime dessert being a cake instead of pie, as the menu gave no indication of which to expect. All in all, I’d give this place a second chance. Sometimes you need a patty and oxtail gravy at midnight, and this place makes it easy to get. 3.5 but let’s round up."
"They are extremely inconsistent! I am so displeased with their service! As a vegetarian in this community, there is limited vegetarian options. On their menu it states they offer tofu, however, every time I come to this place to order it, they pick and choose when they want to make it. Most times they give me an excuse on why they can’t make it. Either the stove is full or the tofu is frozen or they don’t have tofu at all. At this point they shouldn’t offer something they can’t fulfill on a consistent basis! There is no proper procedure for cook to order meals in general and im just fed up with this place. I love supporting local businesses and I’ve given them chance after chance to get better but honestly they keep getting worse. It’s so sad because their food is good most of the time but their piss poor service will be what drives this business into the ground."
