"Great fishing area, but it gets heavy, heavy traffic after 10 a.m."
"This was a first experience for Team Powers in the Cohutta Wilderness! We loved it! It’s wild and beautiful. We went primitive backpacking for 3 nights here and can’t wait to explore this vast tract again. Did you know... The wilderness that is Cohutta in Georgia is continued into Tennessee’s Big Frog Wilderness and together they create a corridor of the largest tract of wilderness east of the Mississippi River? That is why we went there, to experience peace and quiet. We were successful!"
"What an incredible place, I am very excited to come back and do more exploring at a slower pace. This flatlander Florida girl found it a fun challenge to take the trail down about 2 miles towards the river. There are signs of the recent burn and the recent heavy rain made some spots very slick, but that doesn't really detract from the unique layout of this valley. Massive bolder piles jut out from quiet, leafy hillsides, everywhere you look the creeks trickle down towards the river. The sound of running water is charming and provides a peaceful ambient background noise to your hike. There are lillies and iris flowers everywhere, like something out of a fairy tale. We were able to do the 2 miles back up to the truck in about an hour of steady stepping to avoid being caught after sundown."
"It's such a beautiful area to go hike and spend the day with friends and family. The trails are not too hard but I am a klutz so I still managed to fall a few times and hurt myself lol! All in all, I strongly recommend that if you have not been to see the beauty of the river and the falls, you definitely should! There's also camping and fishing and more difficult trails for the more adventurous!"
"Yogi's hideaway is the best place to rest for a weekend with family. Clean, cozy, private tennis court, porch hot tub jacuzzi. .. biking hiking trails. Reachable preferably by SUV, although other cars have also been there. Bring all the fun, food, water and drinks you need, and you'll see equipped kitchen as in your desired home!"
