"We try to support local businesses, and still will as support saves our town, but my very large family will no longer support hometown carpets.. We were given false dates for construction( surging) many weeks. When finally available and anxiously taking our payment, we were given wrong dement-ions and size. After returning carpet the older gentleman stated they could sew in a 3 ft piece to our family room carpet. No thank you. The sales lady we dealt with in the beginning was rude and actually sent a letter of apology. I should of stuck with instinct. I give no recognition to the business and advise patrons to shop elsewhere for quality and service. The only kind word I can say is, when I called yesterday for daily check ins the younger lady was polite, but didn’t follow my wishes on confirming arrival of carpet. I asked to call my personal cell as my husband was caring for his very I’ll mother. She still called him rather my request."

"Poorest quality and customer service I have ever experienced in the tri state. You might save a buck, but you will certainly get what you pay for. Waited months for a poor installation with poor quality product. After I was promised the job would be fixed, waited months for call backs that never came. The old man got down right nasty when I asked for a refund. Terrible customer service. Not even worth the 1 star. Pics will follow soon."

"I want to say that the owner is super nice and sweet. That is the only positive thing I have to say. I was refurbishing a rental home to get durable, inexpensive flooring. Not much selection, carpet was okay, but I wanted a durable vinyl wood-look flooring, so I paid more. I ended up paying $2300 for three small bedrooms, a dining room, living room and a kitchen. I was satisfied with the product, but the service was really bad! I was given an install date-emptied the entire home of it's furnishings and they didn't show. I called to see what happened and they "Wrote me down for the wrong day". This happened TWICE & Had to move furniture out again. Did they compensate me for two days of labor and time off? NO! When I asked owner what happened, the older man said "aw, this guy (salesmans) messes up all the time". They never offered me a discount, no apologies, nothing. The installer was okay, but he even complained about this store. Great American Flooring is so much better and prices are good."
