Delta Hotels by Marriott Huntington Downtown 800 3rd Avenue, Huntington, WV 25701

"I accidentally posted a review for a different hotel under this hotel’s name (which I have since taken down), I wanted to post the correct review for this hotel as it was a decent one to stay. I apologize to the Delta for the incorrect review from 2/13/24. I stayed here for 2 nights in a king room for business. This is the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel. Room: the rooms are pretty standard, clean, and include a sofa, single serve coffee maker, mini fridge, and microwave (which is always great to have in your room). Parking: you need to get a parking pass from the front desk in order to be able to park in the parking lot in front of or behind the hotel. The parking is limited, so this is good. It’s a bit annoying to have to go back out to your car to put the parking pass on your rear view mirror, so I’d suggest waiting to bring all of your luggage inside until you check-in (mobile check-in does not work here), go back out to put the parking pass up, and then bring your luggage inside. I did see someone getting towed in the middle of the night during a snow storm so they’re serious about the parking pass. Fitness center: the fitness center is divided into two areas: cardio equipment section (except for the stationary bike) and the dumbbells, cable machine, and stationary bike section. It’s relatively clean, they provide exercise mats, and there are 2 benches. It’s a standard hotel gym and you can get a decent workout in there. Location: it’s smack dab in the middle of the city center, so it doesn’t take very long to get anywhere in the town. Service: you receive standard service at the front desk, not friendly, but not mean either. It’s similar to service you might expect in a north eastern state. The cleaning staff, however, are pretty friendly. I’d probably stay here again, it’s one of the nicer hotels in the area and good places to eat close by."

"Get a receipt! I had no idea they charged me $75/night for my service dog to stay one night with me! I could have gotten a room at Red Roof for less than that! The room and staff were great otherwise."

"We have stayed twice for personal reasons. We were disappointed that the pool was closed this past visit, but staff offered us another hotel. We chose to stay here even with the pool situation due to location. There are So many walkable restaurants, shops, theatre, coffee,etc it was worth not changing hotels. Samantha at the front desk is an absolute gem of a person. She's very kind as is the rest of the staff. Spacious and clean room. Quiet stay with comfortable beds!"

"It was my first visit to Huntington, and I was looking for a hotel close to Marshall University Hospital. The doctor's office actually recommended the Delta. I was impressed by the location by a park on the river first, the amenities second and most importantly, the helpfulness of the staff. The following night, I had to go back to the hospital ER. The staff was absolutely wonderful to my husband and me, even going so far as to keep our room open for us before we even asked! I'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area."

"We stayed at this hotel last weekend for a festival. The rooms are great and spacious and clean. We experienced a noise issue one of the nights we stayed. The night manager (I think his name is Sam!), was so quick to step in and immediately took care of the situation. He was very kind and understanding and even followed up with us about the situation when we checked out. All of the staff we encountered were so kind and helpful and had the best food recommendations! We’ll be coming back to the area again next year and will stay again!"
