"Great gym, Basketball courts, swimming pool. Great staff honestly the best staff in Rome Gym-wise. This is great for the senior crowd. RAC is the best place in Rome for people that are in the gym to EXCEL. I had to go to every single gym in Rome to find out. 24 hr fit, PF, Y, Velocity. The next stop will be X4."
"The Y feels like a second home to me! It's rare to feel a strong sense of community at a gym, but the Y is different.....members & staff are so friendly and they provide such an encouraging environment no matter your workout skill level. The Rome Y offers something for everyone and there's no workout gym in town that offers more variety with a membership. They also have a free guest pass available and a new promotion almost every month that gives you a discount on signing up as a member! Another perk is knowing that as a member, your money is going to a gym to loves and supports the Rome community is so many different ways."
"Closing at 8pm on weeknights, 2pm on Saturday and 4pm on Sunday is a real inconvenience. I've been a member since 2010, and while the hours have been reduced the monthly fee hasn't."
"Would not recommend for kids swim party. Staff, including aquatic supervisor or whatever her position is, were incredibly rude. Not cheap for when we show up, the life guard agues about what time our session was to start, then the real idiocy ensued. With no mention in the contract or conversations when setting up the party, they require a swim test before the kids can enter the deep end. Even though I sort of agree with the comment of “it’s common sense” by the supervisor, she was hateful when she said it and what isn’t common sense is doing this test one by one and it takes 5 minutes each, eating into the party time. Incredibly unhappy and they didn’t seem to care at all. They tried to tell us they were going to lock the pool doors while we were doing party time and that would mean everyone would have to walk or carry small children completely around the building to use the restrooms. Luckily they actually listened to reason on that one. We love their summer camps. I can’t believe the experience was as bad as it was for a party. Really disappointing."
"We are members here and we love working out but as far as the Pool we will not get back in because they allowed people who were nasty get in the pool and we got out. The water taste like salt and we ask if the pool is salt water they said no so we refuse to get back in the pool. Great place to workout but we don’t like the pool."
