Reviews
"I’ve had 2 interactions with this pharmacy and both have been underwhelming. Associates have an attitude of customers being an inconvenience they are forced to deal with. Got a question? Save it because they are not paid to be helpful, just paid to sneer. Vaccination room doubles as trash storage which feels like it could be better planned."
"I was hesitant to review this because I had different expectations. I moved to Stone Mountain from Gary, IN and have been using this pharmacy for over a year, and my comparisons were for a different area and Walgreens. Back home it was typical to get prescriptions same day, heck you could leave the doctor's office and have it ready by the time you make it to the store. While I was thrown off having to wait a day it was understandable, however it has been consistently the case where I put in for a refill with 4 or 5 days of medication left, and have had to go several days without because it is not being filled. I use the Pharmacy app, and this last time I put on for 3 medications all on the same day at the same time. 2 of 3 filled the same day, the one I was low on and close to running out sat 6 days, I finally called to see when it would be ready and of course they say they don't have it in stock and it will be ready tomorrow. The thing is Everytime I call when a medication is taking longer than 3 days it's always it was going to be ready tomorrow. It's like they don't care about medications that are not in stock unless you call. It's terrible and consistently happens, I won't pretend to know how to run a pharmacy but something is broken here. Leaves me no choice but to use Amazon and pay a bit more for consistency. It's kind of soured me on the local pharmacy market in Stone Mountain/Tucker"
"First time to use this Publix. Took 2 prescriptions (pain medications) to get filled that did not need to be picked up for 2 days. Was told by pharmacist they have a hard time keeping it stocked and that this "always happens" with these medications. 1. Pharmacist did not say wether they could order it and have it by Wednesday or not. 2. Told us to take it to Publix at Briarcliff location without contacting them in advance to check availability after asked to do so. Pharmacist had a very nonchalant attitude. Very disappointing. Your pharmacist admittedly states they "ALWAYS" run out. Having worked in retail management this should never happen. The fact that, as we were told, this "always" happens is unsatisfactory. Note: I don't know where your people got their training at but, where I received mine, you never tell a customer things like this. We're not talking about candy bars here. We're talking about medically necessary prescriptions for patients with medical conditions. If you want to be in the Pharmacy business then you must be able to meet the needs of not just customers, but patients. For the record, we had this same issue at the Publix we used in Jacksonville which required a new script be written by Doctor to change pharmacy location. This in turn caused a lot of scrambling around to get in touch with Doctor to fix. I'm sorry, but I now feel I need to find a Pharmacy chain that I can depend on to have what I need, when I need it."
"This pharmacy's people are the worst with the exception of Nadine. I know it doesn't hurt y'all to lose a customer, but my mom & myself are going elsewhere. My mom & I are elderly & take narcotics for pain. Well you'd think we were drug addicts the way we were treated. Every month it was something different when trying to get our meds. Mostly, one could Never get the codes entered, so I was told."
"The Hugh Howell Publix Pharmacy has the friendliest, most helpful staff. Danielle in particular is always going above and beyond to assist her customers and is so friendly and a joy to see each month. By my second visit while Danielle was working, she remembered my name. As someone who has worked in customer service for a very long time, that meant a lot to me. Thank you, Danielle, for always making my trip to the Publix Pharmacy a pleasant one!"
