"This will be last time visiting this pharmacy. I came into this pharmacy around 1pm which is usually around the time the pharmacy goes on break. When I arrived I spoke directly with the Pharmacist Rahul and I asked did he have a prescription for my child who has strep throat. We had not too long left his pediatrician so I wasn’t sure if he had received the prescription yet. He immediately gave the demeanor as if he was in a rush. There were no other customers around and I was the only one in line. He pulled up my sons information confirmed the DOB and insurance to insure he had the right profile then he goes on to tell me he hasn’t received any prescription yet and that’s all he could tell me. I said okay and went on about my way. Only for me to get home and check my phone to see I received a text from CVS at 12:52pm saying the prescription was ready for pickup. I wish I had seen the text before I walked in CVS but I just was really trynna get my son out of the cold. I drove back up to CVS at 5pm after I got off work. I had to bring my son back outside in the cold when he already wasn’t feeling good for something that could have been avoided if Rahul looked thoroughly the first time. When I arrived at the counter at 5pm Rahuls eyes were bucked as if he was shocked I was back he looked like he seen a ghost. Then he says “what’s the last name?” I provided the last name and I also told him the prescription was ready for pickup earlier when I came and his response was “Oh okay” I never once received an apology. This will be my last visit at this pharmacy. Every “Pharmacy Tech” that I encounter at this location excels in customer service , they make eye contact, smile listen to your concerns and make you feel welcomed. It’s dissapointing that the actual Pharmacist lacks basic customer service. Also I’d like to add this is not Rahul’s first time having an “I don’t care attitude” with me and speaking to me in the manner in which he did. A few weeks ago I had a tooth abscess and I called this same CVS to confirm what the cost of the 2 medications would be. I was in excruciating pain and go figure Rahul answered the phone he was very short and rude on the phone he kept saying he didn’t have the prescription yet so he couldn’t give a price but he would use a prescription discount card and save me a few dollars. (I completely understand if the prescription had not come through that’s not a problem the demeanor of how he was over the phone is what annoyed me) By the time I came into the store when the prescription was ready he was even more shorter and the “Prescription Card” he said he would use to give me a discount was not applied to my balance. Because I was in so much pain that day I didn’t have time to say anything to him about his demeanor or the prescription card. I paid and was just trying to get home as soon as possible. This was not my first unpleasant experience with Rahul but it definitely will be my last. I’ve already reported this to corporate today but I am also adding the review here. 1/23/2024."

"My CVS located on LaVista is the best! The head pharmacist always making sure you are up to date on your vaccine. Willing to answer any questions you may have about your medicine. His staff are very professional and kind. Couldn't ask for a better !"

"I have been to three different CVS pharmacies to pick up items for an elderly man. The one in downtown Decatur is awful. It’s dirty hardly anything is there when I need it and items are not easy to find from the booklet that he’s allowed to get. the one across from North DeKalb hospital is the cleanest and has pretty well stocked shelves, but staff aren’t the nicest. I would much rather go to Publix or Walgreens but unfortunately CVS has a partnership with this man’s insurance company and I have to go there. I dread it every month."
