"Wish I could give less than 1 star!! When I first called the office I was told that I could come in because they had a cancellation so I asked how long would it take because I would need to be back to work.. she assured me that I would be in and out. When I got there I waited an hour before the doctor came. Before he came they had a lady from the front desk attempting to do my X-ray which she had no clue how to do and kept asking her coworkers which instruments to use. when the doctor came, he would not do my extraction unless I paid $180 for sedation because I put that I had anxiety on my paperwork, and he could see that I was nervous.after I assured him that I was fine and he could just numb the area he denied services and waisted 2and a half hours of my time.."
"If you go here, make sure you have an attorney on speed dial! A total quack!"
"I’d hardly qualify Dr. Baawo as a “cosmetic” dentist. Firstly, the front office is highly unprofessional and, from what I can tell, quite incompetent. I went in for a routine cleaning and my annual x-rays. Of course they found that I had an “abscess” in one of my lower anterior teeth. I asked for evidence of this and to see the x-rays. They merely pointed out an dark spot which I couldn’t discern from any others on the tooth. I also requested a copy of my x-rays to self-provide to another dentist. I was informed they’d have to send over a medical release form. I checked out and the front office explained how the dr. was adamant I have a root canal and get a crown because I was at imminent risk of a major infection. Mind you, there was no pain or swelling. I explained that I wanted them to reach out to see how my h insurance would cover and they said no matter what I had to pay upfront and could be refunded after insurance covered their part. Ultimately I did have the procedure done because I trusted the doctors word. Side note: he doesn’t regularly employee hygienist so they’re not consistently on time because they have to find help from all over and call if a staff member doesn’t show. The procedure wasn’t great. He apparently had to go much lower into the tooth because the “infection” was too deep, which essentially left me with no structural integrity for the tooth. I suffered multiple instances of infection and irritation post-procedure and had to go on antibiotics and have 3 intensive gum irrigations (recommended and treated by another physician). Ultimately the crown never fit properly and I spent multiple appointments trying to get it corrected. Side note: I was informed it would be a porcelain tooth and match my natural teeth however (inconsistent with my insurance report), it was a crown that showed black underneath and is visible to the naked eye. My insurance reported they used a more superior composition than was actually in my mouth and I fought to prove otherwise, which resulted in a minimal refund for the cost of the crown. The tooth ultimately never settled properly and the dentist referred me to an oral surgeon. I’ve since been seeing a new dentist who confirmed I should have been treated with a course of antibiotics and treatment at the site prior to the procedure. They requested records and could see no verifiable sign of infection other than what came post procedure. Ultimately I wouldn’t visit this dentist again and wouldn’t recommend for a procedure outside of a routine teeth cleaning. Consult with a credible cosmetic dentist before any intensive procedures."
