"Dr. Hair dismissed me from the practice after informing me that he could not help me with my orthodontic needs. I COMPLETELY understand that he could not help me and am okay with that. However, I DO NOT understand and am NOT okay with the fact that he cancelled my upcoming teeth cleaning and dismissed me from the practice altogether. Why? I’ve had a pretty good relationship with everyone else at the dental office. I called and asked to speak with him. Someone at the desk said they’d pass on my message but I never heard back from Dr. Hair. I believe I was treated unfairly. The dentist office itself and all the employees are pretty good. I’ve been going there for the past 2 years. So, why I was dismissed all of a sudden is surprising. If Dr. Hair would at least explain why I can no longer get my teeth cleaned there (especially since he’s not even my dental hygienist) I would give this office higher stars but this just really left a bad taste in my mouth. No pun intended. *Update* I appreciate Dental Professionals of Vinings responding to this review and seeking to improve; however, I still don't understand why I was dismissed altogether and why no one has returned my call as promised to help me understand. It still feels pretty much like they don't value me as a client."

"In my overall experience at this dentist's office, things had been wonderful until this morning when I asked if I could have my card charged at a later date for my remaining $200 balance. Up until then, I had paid them a substantial amount without any issues. However, my encounter with Melanie was quite disappointing. She responded in an extremely condescending manner and proceeded to ask me embarrassing questions about why I didn't have the balance ready, before reluctantly agreeing to my request. I found Melanie's attitude surprising and hurtful, especially considering the sensitivity of the situation. It's already embarrassing to admit that you can't immediately cover your basic health expenses, and her response only made me feel worse. I would recommend that Melanie undergoes sensitivity training to better handle such situations in the future. In today's challenging economic climate, I'm sure I'm not the only patient who might occasionally need a payment extension, and a more compassionate approach would go a long way in improving the patient experience."

"First time in my life a cleaning cost anything, let alone a thousand dollars. The dentist didn’t even introduce himself to me. Just talked behind me. Then recommended a crown and filling based on AI. I got the crown - which was mostly done by a hygienist and not the dentist, was charged for the filling but that never happened. Then I got a bill in the mail - something I’ve never experienced. Just went to a different dentist. They actually talked to me. I payed nothing for the cleaning and they felt my X-rays were great - guess I didn’t need that filling after all. It really seemed like they were trying to find a way to charge me more, regardless of if I needed it, and the dentist farmed as much out as possible to see the most patients. While a hygienist prepared my crown, I could hear another woman in a different room complaining about how the dentist didn’t even see her. This wasn’t a problem unique to me. I’ve had bonding on my front teeth for 20 years. When bonding on one tooth had broken they repaired it noticeably unevenly (something is never seen) and spent all their time telling me they wouldn’t do it again and I needed to spend thousands to fix it permanently."

"I have been a patient at Dental Professionals of Vinings for many years. The front office staff is very welcoming and helpful! The office is always very clean. They have measures in place to protect patients from covid-19 such as mask requirements, your temperature is taken the minute you walk into the office, sanitizing stations, they also have seating 6 feet apart. The entire staff wears a mask and they're careful to wipe down all equipment. All of the dentists are very knowledgeable and explain each step of your dental care. I highly recommend!"
