Holiday Inn Express & Suites Macon - I-475, an IHG Hotel

"This place is not a place to get rest I had a 2 day reservation after the first night at 10am they started knocking on the door I told them I had 2 days they said ok then again and then again every time I feel asleep they knocked again until 12 I got up and went downstairs. Now every time they knocked I asked for towels. Never did get them .I think I deserve my money back . I would not stay here again"

"This is a really bad neighborhood. At least 15 of our cars were broken into last night as well as the hotels next door. Smash and grabs. The hotel should at least have live surveillance but employees don't have access so they can't even watch. Local lady said gangs are bad in the ares. I witnessed homeless walking through the parking lot several times. The room floor was sticky and hairy. Nothing had been swept. Bed was made,clean and comfortable. Staff was super nice and apologized for our cars. I felt bad for them. They need hazard pay. The police were nice and did what they could but was grateful a officer even was employed in that area with all the craziness going on in our country.**as of 5-20-23 the hotel never responded to my request to speak to them about what happened. They did not refund my stay. They did not apologize. I recorded their only employee around 1am walking off the property. I let them know that in a email. Employee could have been involved. The break ins were in front, right where the front desk could have seen or heard all the windows breaking. I was pretty loyal to holiday Inn but haven't been to one since. I stayed at least 10 nights a year at various locations. The police did call me a few days later with case# and I told them of my recording and suspicions. The thieves took at least one hand gun that a fellow car owner admitted to me personally. To me, with the lack of security,the hotel is complicit. I pray for anyone harmed with that gun and hope the gun owner never returns to a hotel with a no gun policy.***update 10-31-23. The hotel never refunded my hotel stay or my cost to have car repaired. They never even apologized for not putting up barriers to prevent this from happening. I have not been back to another Holiday Inn since. If someone from corporate would have at least sent a letter I would just blame the local management but seems they don't care about their customers safety"

"It would of been a 5 star, but I could hear too much going outside the room even though it was not particularly noisy at all. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. Overall good experience."

"We stayed here for my infant daughter to see her specialist at Atrium health and it's a bit of a drive from home. I was worried cause I seen a few bad reviews but I think it was okay. I'd stay here again for sure. Very quiet. It's convenient to many stores and restaurants, including a walmart. We had absolutely no issues. The ac worked great. Rooms were clean. Beds were bug free. Staff weren't overly nice but they weren't rude either. Breakfast was good, not great but I'd say great for what it was. Plenty of hot and cold options, including juices and 2 different kinds of milks."

"I stayed here for a conference and keyante was wonderful. We had an issue with our checkin and she ensured that we were able to get into our rooms and that we had the necessary paperwork. She made me feel like we were in the right place. The rooms were clean and large. I was so nervous and she made me feel at ease. Thank you keyante."
