"I bought pair of jeans for less $8, wear once, it ripped open on the knees. The store manager has a bad attitude when I try to return, I have donated truck full of nice clothes and furniture. Not friendly at all."
"Goodwill stores are a cornerstone of thrift shopping, offering a unique and socially responsible retail experience. These stores have earned their reputation for both affordability and social impact. One of the most appealing aspects of Goodwill stores is their diverse selection of secondhand goods. From clothing to furniture, electronics to books, you can find a wide range of items at significantly reduced prices. This not only caters to bargain hunters but also promotes sustainable consumerism by giving items a second life. Goodwill's commitment to workforce development is a key feature. They provide job training and employment opportunities to individuals facing barriers to employment, such as those with disabilities or limited work experience. By shopping at Goodwill, you directly support these programs, contributing to community empowerment. Cleanliness and organization vary from store to store, but overall, Goodwill outlets are known for their reasonable tidiness and helpful staff. While items can be hit or miss, patient shoppers are often rewarded with unique finds. In summary, Goodwill stores offer an eco-friendly, budget-friendly shopping experience with a substantial social benefit. Shopping here not only saves you money but also contributes to a more inclusive and sustainable society. Whether you're a thrifty shopper or a supporter of community development, Goodwill stores have something to offer."
"Watch out for store manager accusing you of trying on clothes before buying them... there's no dressing room. I bought the clothes I was trying on in the restroom.... lucky I did none of them fit...I kept telling the crazy woman these are paid for."
"I found the dark blue, Ikea EKERÖ armchair that I was able to clean and sanitize easily at home. It was in solid condition and cost $27. Total cost and the gas money to go purchase one at the Atlanta Ikea would be well over $300! The staff I had dealt with were so nice and helpful. After purchasing the chair, they allowed me to disassemble the legs of the chair in store so I could fit it in my car. It was a great find and a good addition for extra seating in my living room."
"I went to the Bullsboro store and I saw a stackable shelf of 5 been sold for $2.99 each. I thought it was a mistake because they sell them brand new for $3.80 at big lots, and cheaper. It a little beaten up and also broken on top shelf. I asked the manager Rachael, why are they selling a donated item so high, if it was a mistake. She was very rude and said she can’t change the price because it’s on the floor already. Goodwill is no longer in the business of helping people, it’s all about profit from donated things. I stopped donating a while now because I saw something I donated priced very high. Rachael refused to changed the price. She said it was company policy to not change prices once it’s on the floor. She needs training how to speak to people properly as manager. Charging the same price or more than the store charges from donation is so wrong."
