"Trying to get SNAP transferred from Tennessee to Anderson. The Anderson office gave a wrong fax number. Now, they can’t find her paperwork and Tennessee has taken her out of their system. It was Anderson’s fault, but they won’t help in any way. Her only option at this point is to reapply with Anderson. They apparently don’t keep notes, and then have no recollection of even talking to her. And this was a supervisor."
"The new interview line for SNAP is RIDICULOUS!!!! They need to go back to outbound calls to people on an appointment basis! I have been calling since 8:30 am and it's now 10:30 am. several times it says "no reps available to take call" and hangs up. Then finally went through and asked if I wanted the call back or to stay on the line. Chose to stay on the one and it immediately hung up on me. Started calling again and after about 20 attempts it got through again, chose the call back this time with an est time of 15-30 min. Over an hour later I get a call and it's silent which finally hangs up. No call back. Now I'm back on the phone waiting this time with an est time of 60-90 minutes! Bottom line if you have to call this line be prepared to spend HOURS and get extremely frustrated!"
"The lady at the window was very nice and patient and made sure I had the understanding of what I needed before I left. Very nice change. I wish I knew her name"
"SC has had my child support case since March of this year. 7 months and 3 different caseworkers and I’ve yet to speak to any of them in person! Could @michaelleach go visit them- offer some training or possible help in calling people back?!?! The 888- number is a joke, why is it a call center ?!? How hard is it really to send a transmittal #1??? Why is a struggling mom having to do all the leg work- why is the SC child support office not empowered with the tools and knowledge needed and why does it take 8 weeks for a call back…. That I’m STILL WAITING ON?!? So disappointing"
"Why are they still not taking in office appointments for food stamps? Not me but a family member has come on hard times filled everything out, sat on the phone over two hours for interview, got everything turned in same day, 30 days later still nothing but waiting on hold for two hours to try to figure out what's going on. This is ridiculous, do they not understand some people genuinely need and appreciate the help? So sad they truly need to have in office appointments again."
