"It was amazing! The animals were very warm and welcoming to us. The animals did not look underfed, and they had plenty of space to roam. A very nice employee showed us the inside shed with other animals. It was a super fun experience and I will definitely come back!"
"It was pretty gross and surprisingly unkept. In the pig pen with the baby pigs there were plastic bags that they were playing and biting at. Loads of cats (super friendly) that of course use their big sand box as a litter box. All the animals seem to be in good health otherwise but not worth the price... The kids enjoyed feeding the animals though and they all were super friendly."
"I think the animals are really cute. I also think the staff is friendly. It was a nice shaded area and the kids enjoyed the zip line. However, I wasn’t super impressed with the enclosures of some of the animals (for example the tortoise had pushed the two pieces of wood apart and long screws were exposed that could hurt him and he was pushing against them). I also didn’t like that none of the animals had water. There was leaves and mold in one of the rabbit’s water bowls so it appeared this hadn’t really been cared for as it should. We went during a birthday party so maybe it isn’t always like this but I saw at least two children get inside of the pens and accidentally drop animals. I feel like having staff at each area to monitor would have been helpful. I’m also not sure that a small kennel is the best habitat for reptiles such as bearded dragons. I think they have a good concept but the upkeep needs some attention."
"Nice little place. They have big plans that I hope all work out for them. The animals were all wanting treats and attention which was nice. We were greeted by sweet cats as soon as we got out of the van. My teen daughters had a good time. Next time we are in the area, I'd like to go back and see how their plans have worked out!"
"We went for opening day of 2023 and it was an absolute blast! As a relatively new petting zoo, they are still growing and I can’t wait to go back year after year to see the growth. All of the animals available to pet were friendly, well cared for, and maintained. My 5 year old son has not stopped talking about the experience and is begging to go back when we get a free weekend. With only 3 staff members working the day we went, I have to commend them on their efforts to personalize the experience for each customer. They checked on patrons and animals alike throughout our visit, offered educational tidbits about each animal, and were available to answer any questions. I could go on an on about the wonderful experience we had. We will 100% be returning to this family-owned and operated petting zoo in Anderson, SC. If you didn’t have a good experience or had concerns about your visit, the owners are there and able to talk right away to make it right and clear up a misunderstandings. Highly recommend."
