"Renters beware! I am unfortunately currently a tenant here and have been since August 2022, and for the past few months we have had nothing but issues both within the apartment, and with the property manager, Kim. Our air filter hadn’t been changed in well over a year, there was excessive mold in and around the ceiling vents throughout the apartment, and a horrible phorid fly infestation. At least several other tenants in other units have had issues with the flies as well. Absolutely no attempt to remedy the fly problem was made until we delivered a 14 day written notice, after which, we would be able to seek legal action due to uninhabitable living conditions. They did call an exterminator to spray for “gnats”, which did not provide any relief. They also eventually had a maintenance person come to our unit to replace the AC filter, and he painted over the mold around the vents. When I renewed my lease this past August, rent increased approximately 33% from $800 to $1065 and now the monthly pet rent has increased by 215%, from $35 to $75. If you can afford something slightly more expensive, I highly recommend looking elsewhere as even if the unit you move in to doesn’t have the aforementioned problems, if any issues come up during your lease, it will be almost impossible to get it fixed in a timely manner."
"Heritage Hills was a great place to live while attending Clemson. It’s very quiet, safe, and super affordable. Plus the office staff was always really nice!"
"Heritage Hills is an great place to live, convenient to Clemson. My daughter lived there 4 years while attending Clemson. She loved her her quiet little apartment. The staff is amazing and kind!"
"The best apartment complex in the area. It is quiet and neighbors are friendly. I stayed in a two bedroom upstairs unit and it was very spacious. The ladies in the office are friendly and helpful and we never even had to call out maintenance since they keep everything up to date. It came with a washer and dryer which was a huge plus! I would definitely recommend Heritage Hills."
"I lived here during my senior year at Clemson, from August 2011 until July 2012. I lived in a second story two bedroom apartment with my sister. This was the first apartment I ever lived in. I loved it here and would have stayed another year if I wasn't moving out of state. The rooms were spacious with big closets. The bathroom was large compared to others I've seen at my friend's apartments. The kitchen was awesome, and it came with a washer and dryer. I invited a bunch of my college friends over for dinners all the time, and although the living room was smaller than others I've seen, we fit 9 people comfortably eating around the table, on the futon, at the bar, or on the floor. The pool was great and always clean. Most of the people I met in the complex were graduate students or lived there with their families. It was an extremely quiet place, not a lot of undergraduates lived there. I loved how quiet it was, I never heard any loud partying or even my neighbors the entire year I was there. The bus stops at the entrance of the apartment complex, and it will take you directly to campus. It runs until 6 pm, but not on weekends. This helped because my sister and I shared a car and both worked. The management was great. We had an issue with our door, it was just kind of old, and they came the day we put the request in and put in an entire new window piece for the door. I was sitting on my futon and they finished the job within 10 minutes. I saw maybe 5 roaches the entire time I lived there. We didn't feel the need to report it to the office because they were so few and far between. Around May we started getting fruit flies, which was our fault for leaving food in the sink during the summer in South Carolina. We got rid of them ourselves. Overall, I would definitely recommend Heritage Hills to anyone looking for an affordable apartment that is in a very quiet neighborhood. You will have access to the bus, a pool, and a small work out room that includes a bowflex, two treadmills, and a bicycle machine. It is a very well kept area, I never saw trash anywhere and I liked all of the trees, grass, and flowers."
