"Horrible. Run, do not walk, away from them. After taking almost double the time to mill some replacement flooring, at an extremely high charge, it was all found to be milled incorrectly, They would not respond to any calls or emails about the situation. In addition, much of the material was extremely poor quality even if it had been milled correctly. Do not do business with them."
"I was ready to pay - BUT.......Two hour labor fee to cut a 6' x 37" x 3/4" hard pine?? Total charges $295.00. Are they insane! Great value......"
"Although their final products are beautiful, it is a full time job trying to get ahold of any of the sales people and receive a quote. After going by the office, we were told we'd receive a quote within a few days. Now, over a month later, and after >15 calls following up with them, we still have not received a quote. After trying to track Mae down for 3 weeks, during normal business hours, and never making contact with her, we started to work with John. He told us we'd have a quote within the week. Although he did get us an estimate, after 1.5 weeks of working with him, we still do not have a quote at this point. We've asked to speak to the owner, but have been told over and over that he is not in, and will be in the following we. We've asked for a message to be left for the owner, and have not been called back."
"Acres of salvaged southern architecture. Employees behave as beloved owners here. It appears the majority have been a part of the company for a lifetime and are invested in every aspect. I drove by once and decided to stop by. Someone's wife (who also made use of little spaces to plant vegetable and herb gardens) gave me a very personal 2 HR tour including very detailed staff introductions as if I had just married into the family. Every time I've come by Ive received the same treatment each time by different staff, including laborers, the cleanup crew, admin and others. They sell reclaimed heart of pine, new furniture and other pieces all reclaimed from beloved historic properties that fell to disrepair. From what j hear, the owner will do anything (including stand in front of the wrecking ball) to salvage historic southern architecture."
"Ramsey and Pam are probably the cutest husband/wife work duo ever. The best thing about SPC is that you can tell their work despite it being unique to whatever venue/customer for which it was built. Like when you see a painting that's one of a kind but you just KNOW it was Van Gogh. The homes they've restored throughout the historic district are beautiful."
