"I called over a weekend with an emergency and I heard from them first thing on Monday morning with a cheerful voice and an appointment at 1:45 that very day. The pain was excruciating and I was just so happy to be seen. My dentist referred me to Dr Shirley and I'm so glad that I found him and his fantastic staff. We set up an appointment for an extraction with sedation and I came in early the next morning at 8:45 with an empty stomach ready for tooth removal! Everybody was super duper professional and the Doc and his crew had me in and out of there in a little over a half hour and I was no worse for wear. I've always had a terrible hangover from sedation but not with Dr Shirley and that was really surprising. Overall, everything from soup to nuts was perfect. I recommend Dr Shirley and his staff wholeheartedly!"

"After reading the reviews, I agree that the staff and financial polices are unlike any dentist or oral surgeon I have ever encountered. On the day I took my daughter to have her wisdom teeth removed, I walked in the office and I was barely in the door before the staff started talking to me about payment. They make it clear that they do not accept checks, which is fine, but then when you pay by credit card, you are charge an additional 3% of the total fee. Additionally, they said they were charging more than my original estimate from the insurance company. I just feel it is very unprofessional for any office to be so overly concerned about getting their fees before the care and consideration of their patients. I have two older daughters who have had their wisdom teeth removed from another oral surgeon, and the experience was far more professional and caring. I would not recommend this office to anyone."

"Absolute master class. In and out in under an hour, extremely friendly staff, far less discomfort than expected, and virtually no swelling. If I had wisdom teeth come in again, I’m coming back here. I don’t think I could have gotten a better result."

"After reading a few reviews, I wanted to leave my experience. I have had a lot of dental work and had good and bad experiences. This was one of the best. The entire staff and Dr were friendly, professional, and competent. I don’t have dental insurance and paid. I feel his fees are very fair. I hope I don’t need to go back lol, but I wouldn’t hesitate. "I am sure Dr. Shirley is competent in his work but competency is not the total value of a visit. My experience yesterday was not good. I was in and out in a total of 20 minutes and charged $670. I went in to have two extractions - not my real teeth, but crowns. All he had to do was to twist each one slightly and pull it out. No surgery, no cutting. The charge was $275 each. Then I saw $80 on the bill for "consultation". The consultation took less than 1 minute and consisted of the following: he read over my med list, asked if I had any allergies, when was my last Prolia shot, and who is my cardiologist. That was the total consultation! My next surprise was a $40 charge for "PPE". They told me that was for personal protective equipment. I've been in many, many Dr. offices and never had that charge. In addition, Dr. Shirley has a "cold" attitude about him - distant, no compassion, and unprofessional - like I was a number. I would not recommend his as an oral surgeon. I will add that I am satisfied with the results of the extractions - but there is much more involved to make a pleasant and satisfying doctor's visit. Many of my Sun City friends recommended someone else, but my regular dentist sent me to him."
