"I have cml cancer. Baratam basically told me I was faking and have no issues with chemo and no pain, no stress etc. then right after told me I need a stem cell transplant since the chemo isn’t effective. I was already depressed with other things and that in itself has made me quit caring. I don’t sleep right and harming myself since then. I don’t see how I can be so well and have no health problems whatsoever but told I need to take chemo daily at the same time and go get a stem cell transplant where I’ll be hospitalized for a month and then have two months of treatment afterwards. Why try if the doctor makes you feel like a piece of trash"

"Ive been going to the hematology oncology clinic here for about over a year now for maintenance from my BMT. I had my procedure and treatment done in a different state but the Navy moved my family here so here we are. staff are incredibly friendly, but there are some cons to this clinic. Ive never gotten into my appointment on time, im always waiting minimally 20 minutes+ past the expected appointment time, which is frustrating to make plans along the day. I sort of feel like just another person here, i see a bunch of different providers i don't even know for sure who everyone is thats on my "team" :/ I sometimes have to overly advocate for myself about some things that seemed important to my previous providers but not so much here. I guess I should be happy that im not their priority patient anymore considering the establishment, but it is what it is."

"I was diagnosed with a very rare Lymphoma and was referred here as my local oncologist could not treat me. I met Dr. Greenwell and staff here who are all very well versed in my particular cancer. The entire team was always very helpful and kind. There were several people that went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of every visit. Yes sometimes you do wait a little bit even if yo have an appointment but things happen and the medical field is under extreme stress and staffing shortages just like evert other profession currently. I've literally entrusted my life to this team and haven't been let down yet. They are very up to date on all of the current treatments. I've had several extreme procedures as I would call them and everything is going as expected. I would definitely recommend considering them."

"My wife Mary who, thanks to the exceptional team at Holling’s Cancer Center, has lived to survive Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma would like to say this: No words could ever amount to the lengths, exceptional care and genuine compassion that the team at Holling’s Cancer Center MUSC provides. Any health professional like any job can just do their job and call it a day. But these health professionals at Holling’s Cancer Center, especially the professionals I will mention in this review, not only are they exceptional clinically, you will come to see what diamonds these clinicians are because they truly heal with their hearts. I’m so grateful that things went so well for me, but even if things had went south, my review for these clinicians would still be the same exact way as this. I’d like to give a special thanks to my dearest friends: Dr. Brian Hess who is the man, the myth, and the legend- you are the absolute best at what you do, you are such a good man, incredible human being and Doctor. Dr. Lindsey Hendrickson the queen of clinical knowledge- it takes an incredibly strong individual to do what you do and I’m forever grateful for everything you’ve done for me. And the Incredible Infusion RNs Helen my very first infusion nurse who is a wonderful cat mommy, thank you for making my first infusion experience a great time.
