Molly Joseph, MD

"My wife has seen Dr. Molly Joseph for 15 years, and has always thought she was a great physician and OBGYN, however, this year after her December 2022 annual well visit, the Lowcountry OBGYN practice she is under billed us for not only a well visit but also a sick visit (for her singular visit to see Dr. Joseph). When we called and messaged to ask that the erroneous charge be removed, we were told that because my wife discussed a couple of health concerns she had (while answering Dr. Joseph's question of "how are you doing?") that this counted as a sick visit in addition to the well visit. My wife, nor I, have EVER had that happen for a scheduled well visit anywhere. The office has been unwilling to remove this charge, which amounts to insurance fraud from what I understand. We didn't used to have these issues with Lowcountry OBGYN, so I'm not sure if they recently underwent a change in management, or if they outsourced their medical coding and billing functions (have noticed several other similar reviews in the last year), but I WOULD NOT recommend this practice to anyone and my wife is telling her friends to steer clear as well. Save yourself a lot of trouble and extra charges and find another OBGYN."
