"10/10!!! We woke up the next morning still talking about how amazing the food was! We travel ALOT doing animal rescue transport. This was the best food and service we have ever had. Dawn was our servicer/bartender and she was so nice and sweet. She made us feel like we had been coming there for years and not just some strangers who happened upon the place."
"We have wanted to come here for a long time, but, frankly, we have only a couple of friends that would appreciate the elevated level of food and service. I find it difficult to be with people who don't appreciate a perfectly cooked steak, truffle aioli, and made from scratch sauces, pasta, and bread. Anyway, my snobbery comes out. It is nice that there are still restaurants, outside of Atlanta, that can cater to a more different palate (yes, that is my world travel snobbery coming out). It was my choice to move to the area, coming from California, but I didn't realize how much canned and fried food I would encounter. So, this place is a welcome diversion from my forced upon norm. My son and daughter-in-law were celebrating her early retirement and new peaceful existence, and we all agree that this was the perfect place to make that phase a reality... So, I'm waxing poetic, which is not what you want. Sorry. My son and I shared the 14oz Kansas City Strip with a side of bone marrow. I added wild mushrooms and he had the truffle Mac N Cheese. Very rich, earthy, and because the steak was dry aged, very beefy. Loved it! My daughter-in-law has the Shrimp Alfredo, with a handmade pasta and a smooth and creamy American style Alfredo sauce (true Alfredo is simply Parmigiano Reggiano and butter tossed in succession until both are creamy and blended). My wife has simpler tastes, but appreciated a well made Caesar salad. The salad was large with full leaf leaf romaine with just the right amount of dressing. She says it's the best she's had in a long time. Very satisfied. For dessert we all shared a Apple Cinnamon Cake that came under a large glass dome, which held in the smoke from actual sticks of cinnamon. Unique. The second dessert was a butter pecan creme brulee that was a lightly sweet custard and mini pecan shortbread discs. So good and light. Check all the pics to see the various dishes and judge for yourself. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, background music and moody lighting (we were downstairs; not sure what the upstairs looks like, but we'll be back to find out). Our waitress was attentive and came around the right amount of times to refill drinks, but without being overbearing. Okay, my daughter-in-law says these reviews are too long, but I want you to get a sense of what we experienced. We all recommend you find and enjoy for yourself, but make sure you have the right mindset to have fun, enjoy, and expect to spend some money for this caliber of dining in Northeast Georgia. Buon appetito!"
"This is a great place to go on a date night. There is seating upstairs and floor level. For larger crowds upstairs is recommended. there is also more intimate seating downstairs for couples out on a date. The waiting staff is top-notch, very knowledgeable on the menu/specials. Steak is the way to go. Tomahawk steal was amazing. It's carved at the table, and it's a shareable size. Reservations required."
"Great hidden gem!!! The Dry age strip was great but remember with dry age comes a stronger richer flavor. The creamed spinach and wild sautéed mushrooms were also excellent. The smoked old fashion is also highly recommended. We finished it off with the crème brûlée and house coffee which is sourced from a local roaster. The attention to detail is evident from the min you walk in. Get a reservation you will not be disappointed."
"First time at Community Brew & Tap. Celebrating a birthday and chose based on the menu and reviews. Food was outstanding and atmosphere was really neat, situated in an old bank building in downtown Cornelia. Honestly this place was as good if not better than many restaurants in Atlanta and most in the Northern suburbs. We did not have the steaks and opted for seafood, which was fresh and tasty. My Halibut may have been a bit overcooked but was still good. The clams in a Calabrian garlic base were amazing. The lobster and shrimp bisque was equally good. My only gripe was a our server was a bit hurried and moved our dinner along too quickly. I was still eating my dinner and he was asking us about desert. Had he slowed things down just a bit I would have rated 5 across the board."
