"I absolute love Dr Hoffius at musc children’s clinic! She's always on it and pay attention to what the parents concerns are. As far as the office some of the staff is very kind and welcoming and there's others that have attitudes but overall I absolutely love the clinic."
"I went to this clinic because they quoted me the lowest price for a yearly exam since i had no insurance. My first trip there they set me up with a social worker to see if I qualified (And I did!) for state family planning. This was above and beyond what I had expected. The office is always clean, and employees are friendly and willing to answer questions. I ranked this location so low becuase of one of the practitioners. I have PCOS, which means my hormones are normally screwy. I used to be on a combined pill because my original practitioner said the estrogen would help. It did, and I loved that pill! After my exam I specifically asked for that pill again and the nurse that saw me (Lisa) said no because my blood pressure was to high. I should note I only want a pill to regulate my cycle, I do plan on having children. I went along with her because she went to school for this. End of month one I spent TWO weeks in bed with severe cramps and a flow so heavy I was changing my pad almost every 2-3 hours. My sheets and matress are stained and I was in extreme amounts of pain. I call the clinic and I;m told it was jsut my body having a real cycle (I had been almost a year without one). That was January. It is now eight months later, I call to get my pill changed becuase I am still having severe cramps every month, long, heavy flows (Nothing else for two weeks thank god!), and a cycle that might come at the four week mark...or the second week...or the third. I can't plan trips to the beach or romantic dates becuase I never know when I;m going to suddenly be on my period. And when I am my mood swings are legandary. I will go from loving someone to hating their guts and wishing they would die in half a second...but only on the week of my period. i have NEVER had cramps or moodswings before. When I call I;m told (over the phone) no becuase my BP is to high, and if I don't liek the pill she will give me Depo. I have heard HORROR stories from women taking depo, both PCOS sufferers and normal healthy women. I already have anorgasmia and I;m overweight. Why would I take a medication that would NOT regular my cycle, and has a high risk of weight gain (Which is hard to loose on PCOS) and low labido? I never orgasm, let me enjoy wha tI can about sex! I also spoke with several pharmisits who all told me the estrogen in combined pills is honestly to low to casue the heart attack and stroke for those over weight. I don't smoke, drink, or do illegal drugs, and before I got in this pill my BP was ALWAYS normal. (I had jsut moved and was starting a new job when i first saw Lisa and had elevated BP). I know Transgender girls who are 50-100 pounds heavier then i am, older then me, and regularly take a HIGHER dose of estrogen them what is in the pill I want and thier docs say they are prefectly fine, event he ones of medications for blood presure. I have stopped taking the pill and will never recomend this clinic untill the practitioners learn to listen to patients and not give them ultimatums. There are SEVERAL differant formulations of the pill, why am I limited to two becuase my nurse said so?"
