"One of the primary buildings for the teaching university of the Medical University of South Carolina that's always been a pleasure to visit, even for quality healthcare, IMHO."
"It is very difficult to find parking, and all the one-way streets make it even worse. Then you have people trying to drive through your back window, being impatient. The actual Rutledge Towers is right in the middle of town. It is difficult to know where you are expected to be for your appointment. I don't like going downtown to these buildings. I would much rather go to one of their other offices."
"Parking is very poor. They have a small side lot, mostly for handicap parking. They do offer vallet parking, but it was $10 (cash) each time I've used it. If you are in need of the types of services provided here, it would be ideal for you to bring a capable person to help you with tasks. There are 10 floors. You may have to visit more than one. Staff is great. Doctors/future doctors are competent, and most seem to genuinely care about their patients. Nurses and other employees are mostly pleasant, and it's not uncommon to have the feeling that everyone there cares..."
"I would not go to MUSC if it was the last doctor's office in the United States. My experience has been beyond horrendous with this office. I was originally quoted 4 months for an appointment then they "fit" me in two months later. (Oh, also don't forget the 2+ hours we were here for a 10 minute appointment. Apt time was 11, we were seeing at 1:15 PM. The whole waiting room was talking about how bad MUSC was - clearly, I should have listened.) . I was told I needed surgery - they scheduled it for 9 weeks out... Fast forward a while, they called me on 5/11 and told me that my surgery was approved, did the whole pre-op, told me where to go everything. I drove 3+ hours to Charleston for surgery, called them to see when I should be there for them to tell me I wasn't approved. No one bothered to call and tell me this. Nope, they didn't care. After spend 35 minutes on with them, they could care less that I wasted my day, my gas and paid for a hotel room to come for surgery. They claimed insurance denied in back at the beginning of the month. Didn't bother to tell me that. Instead the lady had the guts to tell me to call insurance and figure it out. Mind you, she told me this at 5pm when they were closing. After wasting all of my day and so much money traveling here, I am now back at square one finding a new doctor. Save yourself a few months, hours of wasted time and a massive headache and just find a new office to start with. MUSC has been nothing but issues from day one. I would not refer them to my worst enemy. I would give zero stars if I could."
