"From check in to check out-best experience I’ve had there in along time! Clean, professional, friendly, thorough, helpful, and Dr. Powell was great!"
"Crystal in Customer service is a breath of fresh air. She is so knowledgeable and appears to love her job. She was upbeat and started my morning with a smile. You don’t find this much dealing in customer service. Crystal is an asset to your company. I vote for Crystal employee of the month."
"Patient with history of corneal transplant and recent corneal abrasion with worsening vision and pain for 16 hours prior to coming to the emergency department on 7/5/23. Before the physician examined patient a scolding and lecture was received on why eye complaints should not come to Lexington but go to PRISMA because Lexington had no one on call to handle eye complaints. After the lecture was over and the patient said vision was worse and he couldn't see his hand, the doctor said she would get him a referral to see ophthalmologist for that day and was important for him to be seen on that day. So in a span of only a few minutes after shuffling in and complaining we came to Lexington ER and not PRISMA she was lecturing on how important it was for him to be seen that day. I thought to myself , I hope this girl has some hard skill because she was lacking in soft skills and flipped the switch pretty quick. So in regard to the Lex ER ad boards saying what to go to the ER for and what to go to urgent care for they need to also add if you have eye complaint or concerns don't go to Lexington but to PRISMA per Dr Appleby at Lexington ER . If I could give this place a zero, I would , I NEVER have a good experience there. but fist review I have left because I thought everyone has bad days, but not the past 4 times we have needed to go for surgery ect. WORST - will take her advice and go across the river next time. According to Medical Optometry of America (MOA) signs of eye emergency include changes in vision, increased pain, discomfort , eye injury, light sensitivity which all were present , so next time try educating people and less berating."
"My wife recently underwent bypass surgery with Dr. Travis and his team who were fantastic. She received excellent care while she was on the 7th floor. When she was moved to the 4th floor for continued recovery the nurses were no where to be found. She needed to use the restroom, hit the call button but no one responded. She tried going to the restroom on her own. and before she got their fell backwards and bruised her tailbone, not good! This needs to change!"
"1st time we waited on the nurse to come back w our papers and after 30 minutes we left w no papers. 2nd time we went was much better. They got us in and out as quick as they could and was much more attentive and more informational"
