Stepping Stones Ministries Inc
About the Business
Stepping Stones Ministries Inc is a Christian Transitional Living & Recovery Program located at 6000 A Two Notch Road, Columbia, South Carolina, United States. Our 501(c)3 faith-based drug/alcohol recovery program is designed for men ages 18-55 who are seeking help to overcome addiction. We offer transitional housing for 90 days of sober living, as well as independent sober living for up to 3 years for those in recovery. Our sober living homes provide a supportive environment where residents must follow house rules, do chores, and most importantly, stay sober. Living in our sober homes can help promote lasting recovery and assist men in maintaining their sobriety as they transition back into independent living.
In addition to our recovery program, we also operate a thrift store that offers a variety of donated merchandise including furniture, household items, clothes, shoes, and jewelry. By shopping at our store, you are supporting our mission to help men in recovery from addiction. If you or a loved one is struggling with substance abuse, please contact us at 803.386.8077 for help. Please note that we are currently unable to accept financial donations online, but you can send a check to our address at 2123 Bull Street, Columbia, SC 29201. Thank you for considering Stepping Stones Ministries Inc as a resource for substance abuse recovery.

"I have found some nice unique clothes at this place. This dress, blouses, and mask At an beatable deal thanks Steping ❤️❤️❤️stone and very nice furniture"
"I was looking for a nightstand, and I was hoping to find a used one for a decent price. I was willing to spent about $90 on a new one, so any price around $45 was going to be a steal for me. I found one that fit my exact wants, but it was part of a two-piece set for $100. The other piece was a large dresser, so it did not necessarily NEED the nightstand. It could stand on its own. Nonetheless, I was not sure whether I should have asked if they would be willing to sell it separately. Eventually my boyfriend asked if it would be possible, and they said it would. They were having a sale, and I was able to get this piece for $22.50. What an amazing deal on a great piece of furniture! I am very grateful to the people who helped me."
"The men who came to pick up the donation did a wonderful job. They knew what they were doing, my wall remained intact. They were courteous and knowledgeable moving extremely heavy furniture."
"The place is expensive for no real reason. It's quite ridiculous to see the prices they put on random things like pots (one I found which was priced ten dollars despite being used and probably from Walmart). Most or all their products were given to them free and yet they price things at an awful rate as if they were new and fresh from a factory. Not to mention the staff rarely want to negotiate prices. The female workers from my experience are also rarely nice and don't believe in customer service. They aren't approachable. I've been here several times but I won't be returning. His House and Sunshine have better prices for more things."
"I made a furniture donation to Stepping Stones. First, this organization was the only one willing to make the trip to my house. Second, the men, Antonio and Steven, who came to pick up the furniture were delightful and professional. Their attitude made me curious about the thrift store so I made the trip to check it out. They had lots of quality items, no junk. Additionally I found that everyone working in the store was equally as pleasant as the two men who picked up the furniture. I was also impressed with how respectfully they spoke to each other. I'm pleased to have discovered this place and plan to support them in any way I can."
