"Avoid going here if you can.. everything is priced high.. and they seem to only price match when they want to. (Literally been told by other people they will price match) but the guy wasn’t gonna do it for me… Literally could’ve saved 50$ ordering from Home Depot but I needed it today… Best Buy was willing to price match but they didn’t have the specific one I needed either today. Guess I paid for convenience but sheesh… oh and the box was torn apart in multiple areas. The guy just said it was shipped that way. Return it if it doesn’t work. Not even an open box discount. lol. Oh well. Guess they got me in a pinch. Slightly predatory to be honest."
"I love shopping at the Ace in Three Fountains! But, they have employee turnover that's unbelievable? I used to go in there and anything I needed they would help me with finding it! But, in October I went to purchase birdseed and they had it but one get one and the young boy at the register, didn't sit the huge bag back into my cart and sit it on the floor! I'm disabled and I saw him watching my difficult time trying to maneuver the heavy bag to my car, then I had to return and gather the rest of my purchase? He looked like he was past ready to go home! I suggest that Ace let's him go home permanently! Sorry! I was just watching him as young as he was and fussing because the 3 customers at the register was causing him a problem getting off work so he can go home to play video games! Beth Walker"
"I went to the Ace Hardware Three Fountains in West Columbia 10/27 6:36pm. I have never been inside an Ace Hardware. I originally was going to go to Lowe’s but I opted into a smaller store so I can get help. I walked in I was not greeted 5-10 minutes of searching for pest control still no one has decided to help me. As I am in the pest control aisle looking for product that stated was online. Other customers were being helped. My mistake was looking to see if roach killer was in the cleaning supply aisle since there was none on the shelves due to the 2/7.00 sale. I then heard the bald man calling for help over his ear piece. Still needing help 2 men decided to post at the door as I was coming to ask an opinion he moved closer to the door to block the way as if the register isn’t right by the door. I don’t want to make it about race but I was embarrassed and disappointed. I get it theft is thing but does Ace Hardware not have protocols or steps before deciding I was going to take ant killer and run. The cashier was sweating bullets has if he was relief I wasn’t a thief. The look on his face when I was able to ask specific questions and have great product knowledge. Didn’t ask for my ace card. I am very disappointed 3 guys and 1 black woman no help, no advice, no customer support. Do better Tragic Supply isn’t even this racially motivated. Don’t recommend."
"I went to Three Fountains Ace on Friday, October 20th, in search of a fluorescent utility bulb for the kitchen. I managed to get the old one down to take with me for comparison as it is an odd size. Upon entering, I was greeted with a pleasant "How can we help you?" By the cashier. He directed me to the bulbs, and a second store associate was there in no time to help me find the correct bulb and answer any questions I had. The store and parking lot were clean and appealing. I may just come back one day for one of the wheel barrows they had on display! Wonderful experience."
"I can always find what I need here. They meet you at the door asking if they can help you find what you need. They are the best friend to us guys who just want to get what we need and get back to our task. Keep up the great work!"
