"I don’t like less than good reviews. I am just surprised by my experience. I was excited to find a particular piece of furniture. Although, I was advised that the color I wanted was in the back and with only one person putting furniture on the floor, I wouldn’t be able to see it, I still really wanted it…even with feeling like no one cared if a purchase was made or not. Felt more like a bother. I still went to the front to make payment. BUT…not for a $130 delivery charge. I asked the employee about the charge and she just stated that she didn’t know of any furniture store that didn’t have a delivery fee. I agreed…but just not for $130. I am about 12-14 miles away and a little further from Economy Furniture Store in Batesburg. I advised her of their delivery…no budge, no negotiation, ok…no deal. Guess where I found a much better piece for a $50 delivery charge and happy greeting smiles & conversation? Economy! Delivery is also free at Economy if you spend a certain amount. Can’t say much about Kimbrells delivery fee. It is what it is, even if it costs the loss of a sale, but customer service sure isn’t what it used to be."
