"If you're looking for courteous, fun, professional and personal service, go to Sharp Facets Gallery. Yesterday my husband and I picked up a sweet piece of silver jewelry I had won at Anne's "Saturday morning Trash to Treasures auction." I love the piece and it was such a great deal! This though is no surprise as I've been buying beautiful jewelry and special gifts from Anne and Jeff for over twenty years and every time it's been a pleasure..... did I mention it's great fun?!!! If you're lucky you might meet Gracie, Greenwood Humane Society's special supporter."
"Can I give zero stars? No? Well.... My fiancé went to SF to have my engagement ring made. 4 months of lackluster customer service later, my ring was "done". When we picked it up, I noticed some of the prong work was done in yellow gold. My ring is white gold. Or was supposed to be. When I mentioned having it dipped in rhodium to match everything up, I was met with hostility and arguments from the rat-faced man. I left in tears. One month later, one of the 1/2 carat natural sapphires fell out and disappeared. I was told by Ann that they would order a new pair of sapphires, take back the remaining original, and put the new ones in for $200. They didn't apologize and offer to stand behind their work. My fiancé was enraged, so he went to straighten things out. Ann was totally rude to him, he threatened a lawsuit, and she chased him out to the parking lot with a couple of 4 letter words. These people are crooks and HORRIBLE jewelers. I will NEVER set foot in that store for as long as I live. We have taken our business to an established jeweler in town with a sterling reputation. This other business quickly pointed out the reason behind the sapphire falling out - prongs were constructed too small. The jeweler also noted that in SF's appraisal of my ring, the main diamond was classified incorrectly. SMH.... Please don't support these people and their "hobby"! Run elsewhere... Anywhere else!"
"They destroyed my engagement ring bought from Sharp Facets in the Fall of 2012. A month or two after my Fiance proposed to me, one of the brackets broke off and the side diamond fell out (this is a past, present, future type egagmenet ring). I took it back to Sharp Facets where it was purchased, and they "fixed" it. When I picked it up, the metal had a bunch of nasty black spots from where they welded it. The diamond was replaced with a less quality diamond (I actually brought them the diamond that fell out because I did not lose it). They tried cleaning the black stuff off, but needless to say the ring still has black spots all over it that won't come off. I took it to another jewelry store, who said it was certainly odd the one diamond needing to be put back into place was of way less quality than the other two. I heard they were kicked out of Florida for fraud by somebody who used to work there. I will NEVER EVER go to this store again, and will tell everybody I know not go there. This store needs to be shut down, I am still so upset about this."
"Terrible experience. The front desk/phone lady was very rude and does not take the time to understand the needs of the customer. I brought a watch in to have links put in. Sharp Facets put the links in all on one side of the watch, making it much shorter on one side than the other. Which if you think about means that the clasp will put pressure on the side of the wrist. After Sharp Facets attempted once to fix it I requested that the even out the watch so that the clasp would sit comfortably on the bottom of my wrist vs the side. Sharp Facets called me to pick up the watch claiming to have fixed it this time. However, none of the links look different to me. I believe that they tried to pull one over on me by not moving the clasps and are probably getting a good laugh. But I know that they didn't move any links but I was just so tired of dealing with them. I was ready to get my property back from them and take my watch to a place that knows what they are doing. I strongly urge anyone reading this review to take your watches and jewerly elsewhere. I wish I would have seen the other reviews before I brought my watch in."
"I post this for two reasons, one – to make sure my daughter takes away the right message from the event and two – to hopefully prevent any other unsuspecting customers from being caught off guard. Yesterday, my daughter and I took several items from my parents to be appraised at Sharp Facets. After the appraiser checked several jewelry pieces with his magnet and examined with his eye piece, he proceeded to weigh and place them in plastic bags, marking the type piece, weight, etc. The last jewelry piece was a diamond pendant with a diamond jacket. He said he thought it may be CZ but he needed to go check under the microscope. I said that was fine but did he mind if I went with him. He jumped out of his chair and THREW the necklace across the table and screamed for me to get out. I apologized over and over if I offended him and that was not my intention. He was screaming and throwing a full-blown temper tantrum, stating he was a licensed dealer and he could not believe I would insult him as I did. When I tried to gather my items, he snatched them out of my hands and said I was not taking his work. He ripped open the bags and THREW the items across the table, while continuing to rant, screaming for me to get out, and frailing himself around the room. I knew this situation was volatile and my daughter and I gathered our items and left. I apologized many times that he was offended by my request, asked if I owed him anything for his time, and told him I hoped he had a blessed day. He screamed he hoped I didn’t and for me to get out. I wished him a blessed day because I wanted to let him know I was not going to engage in his behavior because I CHOOSE not to. If I was in his store to purchase a jewelry piece and asked to go outside to see it in the sunlight, I would expect, if he agreed, for him to go with me. His response to my request was unprofessional, out of control, and completely over the top. It only made me question his integrity at that point. Since telling my story, I have heard of another encounter he had with a customer which resulted in him throwing the customer against the jewelry counter. So I feel very compelled to urge extreme caution to anyone considering doing business with Sharp Facets. My daughter was terrorized watching this man attacking her mother. (Lucky for him, he did not turn it toward her, or it may have been a different outcome.) When we reached the parking lot shaking and in disbelief, she gave me the biggest smile and told me she was SOOOO proud of me and that I behaved like a true Christian woman. What a compliment! That has not always been the case. We are always going to be faced with difficult situations where someone has attacked you or wronged you in some way. We cannot be accountable for their behavior but can be accountable for ourselves. I find I have much more peace when I refrain from reacting than when I engage. “Be careful with arguing with a fool in public, as on-lookers will have trouble knowing who the fool really is.” I don’t want “revenge”, I only want to caution consumers and I want my daughters to know you can walk away and be a better person for it. GOD is good!"
