"Chasing Sage is such a special place. Every dish is made with so much attention and care. Their ingredients are grown locally and seasonally, which makes for such a fresh and flavorful palette. I like how many vegetarian options there are, and how willing the kitchen is to modify and alter dishes to fit dietary restrictions and preferences. Their team is truly skilled. We had the chef's tasting menu, which was a great way to try several different things through the 5 courses, which included dessert. We've been twice, and both visits were consistently amazing. Standout dishes include the Butterscotch pudding with blueberries, banana bread, whipped cream and brittle, seriously to die for. Fried Squash Blossoms were one of the most surprising and delicious things I've ever had."

"A wonderful meal in a comfortable and casual restaurant. It's wonderful to see vegetable forward dishes given such care and put on equal footing with meat dishes. The balance has the feel of liguria where fresh fruit and vegetables shine and bring out the best in mushrooms, beans, fish, foul, and land proteins. The wine list isn't big, though has enough breadth to meet the range of the menu. Looking forward to our next visit."

"Wow - what an experience. The “let us pick for you” menu is so diverse and worth it, as you get a full four or five courses. Our waiter was wonderfully engaging and informative, as well as prompt and helpful. This place should absolutely be on your list, even if (like us!) you have less than 48hours in Charleston. "Found this restaurant on the essential eater list for Charleston. They are supported by farm and foragers and the menu changes accordingly. We enjoyed 5 courses including the sourdough bread service, the beets, the amberjack carpaccio, Carolina gold rice, and the duck confit. Everything was delicious. As we were close to the holidays, there were some festive cocktails on the menu. The service was friendly and efficient. My only complaint was the duck should have been served last. It came before the rice and shrimp dish."

"Chasing Sage is not just dinner, it is a carefully curated experience. Everyone on their staff was so nice and so knowledgeable and worked as a true team. The atmosphere is perfect, welcoming, homey, yet stylish. The food from the first bite to the last of the 5 course tasting menu was phenomenal. This chef is inspired, combining unlikely things like watermelon, crispy garlic and turmeric based dressing into something elevated and so delicious. I could have licked the bowl on the plum beet jam that came with the crusty sourdough.Yum! The fish donuts were so delicious! Then there was the course of sweet potato filled ravioli with ribbon pears, nuts and crispy sage. It was fabulous, like autumn on a plate! The desert course was equally surprising and amazing from the three chocolates to the plate of amazing pear creations! The fact that it is farm to table and ethically sourced is the cherry on top. Would we go back? In a heartbeat! In a city of great restaurants, this one is a jewel."
