"Sublime downtown quality and service off the peninsula. That prime rib is juicy, tender, and marbled with fat. Each bite was delicious. I could not put down my burger. Fries were well salted and cooked consistently. The James Island iced tea was sweet, tart and refreshing. Service was classier than most downtown restaurants. They were not understaffed and took pride in their product. We will be back with friends."
"Had a great lunch date with the girls and my parents today after visiting our favorite Sunday Brunch Market. Our server Luke was awesome, very attentive, and friendly. The food was delicious. We had a few appetizers, the burgers, Buffalo chicken sandwich, and other items, and will definitely be back. Thank you to the woman at the Market for recommending!"
"We enjoyed a delicious meal at The James last weekend. My ribeye was cooked perfectly (medium rare), the brocolini had a nice char that paired well with the garlic aioli, the mac and cheese was creamy, and the filet oscar style was fork tender. The waitstaff was attentive and there is parking available in front of and behind the building."
"This a higher-end bar and grill. Lively atmosphere and attentive and friendly staff (our server Kathy was great). Reservations are recommended. They have an extensive wine list and a full bar. Happy hour is 5-6 everyday. They have a classic menu with steak and seafood as highlights. We were welcomed with a smile invited to have a drink and a seat while we waited for a bar table. We ordered prime rib, a nice thick perfectly prepared cut that came with a side of tasty creamy potatoes. You can accompany with add-ons. We also ordered a prime rib melt with a spicy Caesar (a spin on the classic Caesar salad). The prime rib melt was infused with a creamy horseradish, not to harsh, just the right amount! Chocolate martini and espresso martini were very decadent and could have complimented dinner perfectly on their own as dessert, but couldn't resist and ordered creme brulee it was fabulous! This might be one of my new favorite restaurants!"
