"Went there after several local merchants recommended it. What a pleasant surprise. It is "no frills" but the staff is so friendly and the simple food was delicious for a light lunch. Home made pimento cheese, wonderful home made tuna salad on fresh bread, For dessert (totally unplanned--so much for the "light" lunch), the best chocolate malted, even better than those in my memories from my 50's/60's childhood. My friend enjoyed her fried bologna sandwich just as much. We went for the nostalgia of eating at a soda fountain and ordered old fashioned food from a simpler time but we will go back for the delicious food and for the fun we had in Walterboro, antiquing, shopping in the mom/pop style stores, checking out the old homes, and eating at a soda fountain."
