"Clean boat, very good drinks, good food. Sightseeing cruise was interesting and entertaining. I would have added a 1/2 hour to get closer to Tybee Island. Interesting history."
"We took the narrated cruise at 3:30pm. It was just what we thought it would be. Capt. Mike did an excellent job of delivering local history and some humor to mix it up. Since Savannah is a major port we expected to see and hear about the operations and history. Since this is a tourist function, we also expected higher priced food and drink. Everything was nice, clean and well maintained. Nice peaceful way to spend an afternoon. We enjoyed it enough that we think we are going to try the dinner cruise."
"A fun experience! They started by serving a salad and then had a buffet of 4 meats, 3 sides, and a dessert. It was a fun night to sit and watch the river/land. We were lucky enough to have good weather and see some dolphins."
"Went last weekend on a luncheon cruise down the river. While a little higher on price than I feel like it was worth, but was still an excellent experience. The lunch was all you could eat and my drinks were well made. Narrator did a good job explaining the sights as we cruised along the river. Cannon was also fired as we passed old fort Jackson which was a nice touch to the cruise as I visited there earlier in the day. Me and the guide exchanged salutes after he fired the cannon. A nice addition worth your time to sightseeing in Savannah."
"A difinite trip experience. Nice ride on river from port area towards ocean and back. About 1.5 hours (but boarding 30 minutes early. I'd add another 30 minutes to get from downtown hotel and back.). So plan about 2.5 hours. I didn't take a food trip (level 2&3) but narrated tour only (level 4&5). The "food" levels are air-conditioned, but you look out a window. I liked the top level, with unobstructed views. This had a few bugs and it was "feels like" 98, so hot, but when boat was moving, it was acceptable and I could see everything. I think that such tours give you insight into any coastal or water oriented city you visit. You can experience the wet perspective as well as the dry land side. I remember taking a similar ride from downtown DC. It's mind-blowing to understand stand where the Pentagon, Washington Monument, DC shoreline are in relation to one another. It's starting, same with San Francisco to Sausalito, Myrtle Beach Casino boat etc. You get a new view. A bit of trivia (that I found interesting) was that this paddle wheel ride has 2 boats. The Netflix series Ozark used the smaller one as the casino boat in the series and the bigger one (the one I was on) was rigged with fireworks and "blown up" in front of the hotel across the river as part of the series plot. Bottom line, you should go, pick a cooler day, and ride on the top deck, you can get a better meal back in the city."
