"The atmosphere is very unwelcoming. If I could give it a 0 rating, I would. My boyfriend and I walked into the store to fix my engagement ring size but all the sales representatives seem to be not welcoming us. There were probably 4 or 5 of them when we walked in to the store but none of them made us welcoming. The way they looked at us is with a judgmental eyes. Is it because our ring was not a 10K ring? Or is it because the way we casually dress? I’m not sure! For me, that is very disrespectful to being treated a silent treatment especially when the ring meant to be a happy moment of two people who decided to spend their lives together. No earthly material can ever compare the love that people have from one another. They shouldn’t be judgmental on how cheap or expensive the ring has to be on the engagement or wedding ring. That is not their call or to judge!! It is up to the two people and you are not in their shoes or know their circumstances to make that judgment. If that ring was not my engagement ring, I would return it right at that moment. I am just sad that my engagement ring will now be part of this bad experienced that I don’t want to remember whenever I look at this ring because of the untrained and unprofessional employees. Again, I can’t exactly recalled but when we walked in there were probably 4 or 5 employees but non of them say “congratulations.” Not that we would expect that from them but I think it’s safe to call it to have a good manners especially when you know that two young people got engaged with the ring from your store. And no they are not busy because there are no customers. Not recommending this New Hartford store if you’re looking for engagement or wedding ring because you will have that bad memories carry along with ring because of the unprofessional employees. No one deserves this especially when the ring was supposed to mean everything!!"

"Horrible return policy. If you pay cash for something you have to wait to get your money back and it will be in the form of a check. I didn’t pay with a check. Kay’s didn’t have to wait for their money but I have to wait to get my money back. Horrible. Will never do business there again"
