"Think twice before wasting your money on this studio. Most expensive salon on 57th Street. The gel manicure chips within a week and when you go back to have it fixed you are told don’t return for services. . If you ask the technician to improve on the service, they take offense but expect a high tip. This studio is after taking your money for one star service. The manager was very rude, nasty. Do yourself a favor and select another salon on 57th Street. Have a great day."

"I’m saddened to say that my most recent visit to Summer Nail Studio on 57th will be the last visit. I have been a customer for several months now, and have always tipped generously because of the clean space, the nail color options, and the professionalism of the nail technicians. Last night, a nail technician, who may have been the lead technician, added on extra fees to remove gel polish from my nails. I only had gel polish on three of my nails. She told me the total is $5 for gel removal. I told her even for only 3 nails? She said the price is still $5 for at least 2 nails. I respected the price, but it sounded like she was making up the policy on the spot. I never had to pay the gel removal price before at Summer Nail Studio. I didn’t see the gel removal price anywhere on the menu online or in the studio. I feel like she was just trying to get the most money out of me because I was only going in for a regular manicure. So word to wise: be careful of extra fees the studio will try to charge you. I’m disappointed that this studio did not work for me."

"Not only is this salon extremely clean and aesthetically pleasing, but the staff are also very accommodating and skilled at what they do. They even helped me put my shoes and socks back on after my pedicure. Every time I come here it’s consistently amazing!"

"Nice salon and nice service. For some reason every time I do a gel manicure here, my nail polish peels off after 2-3 days. I went back because you get a 7 day guarantee… they do it again and still, the polish peels off in 2 days. Attached is a pic. I’m frustrated because I paid a lot of money and don’t seem to get the gel to stay more than 2 days. Also, got a pedicure and my nail literally broke after 2 days. My nails are probably weak now because they file it down but don’t seem to put anything to strengthen the nail to avoid painful damage like nail breaking down"

"Loved this place. A little background- This is the most I’ve paid to get a gel mani-pedi. $80. I called a few places around, they have the same price, but didn’t look as clean or nice as this place. So if this price is the norm, then come here. I came bc I had limited time, was in the area, and NEEDED a gel mani-pedi before travels. I loved the environment and the staff. They take their time. My mani was 45mins and pedi was about the same, just a little longer. I also really loved that there wasn’t any dry time with the gel (which should be everywhere ) Few nails are getting chips in them now (a week later, see attached photos."
