"I’ve been going to this nail spa for over a year and used to blame myself for not being able to maintain manicure polish for more than 2 days, UNTIL, I noticed that when I am traveling and have to get a manicure at other random spots or in other cities, the polish can last up to a week. I don’t know what it is about this place but the polish wears off after 2-3 days max. Example: The image is from a manicure after one day, and I’ve only been sitting on a 10 hr flight, NOT working or doing dishes or.. The service is ok. Don’t expect anything if you aren’t willing to pay the extra fees. Gone are the days of a good scrub or even a 1 minute decent foot rub during a pedicure. You pay extra or nothing. But that may be a trend at most salons."

"Had an amazing walk-in gel manicure with Cady! She was so efficient and so precise with painting. Gel removal, shaping and painting took a little less than 45min and my nails turned out perfect! I’ll definitely come back to K&F and request Cady for my next manicure :)"

"Lots of unwarranted negative reviews about K&F. I live in the West Village and am particular about where I get my nails done. I love K&F… I get a regular pedicure and a gel manicure once every two weeks and it’s been great every time. Great value. Not a fancy place but they get the job done. Sometimes they can run behind when you have an appointment which can be annoying. Some manicurists are better than others but that’s pretty much everywhere. I’m always specific with what I want (shape, cuticles, shape) and they always do a fantastic job."

"I gave this place a chance twice and never again. after the first failure, I went th by the opinions. The place is dirty. The female employees use the same tools and files for all clients without disinfecting them, so they can infect you with nail disease. A French pedicure is never painted evenly and each nail looks different and the painted lines are very different. The staff do not understand English. I do not recommend this place, it is better to add a few dollars and be satisfied."

"Small but cute. Reasonable prices for NYC, but beware - they charge $1 for fast dry top coat, $5 for Essie gel like polish and try to throw spa pedicure and massages at you, which I didn't like. They do tell you the cost before, however. They weren't really friendly and I had to put on my own shoes with wet nails, for example and my lady ignored me when I was done drying and didn't respond when I thanked her on the way out. The actual file and paint job was average and looks like I did my own mani/pedi at home. I wouldn't go back."
