"Destroyed a classic bit of Streamline Modern architecture for this... complex... Couldn'tve bought the Hibernian lot next door instead?"
"Current resident at The Rise. The property is gorgeous, amenities are beautiful - laundry in unit, common areas, gym and studio, updated units. HOWEVER There has been an alarming rate of theft from cars (at least 4 cars this week alone) and within the past few months lots of our friends have had their cars broken into. Happening as recent as yesterday and there have been packages stolen within the past month, as recent as last weekend. This is a community where most folks know each other as students and doctors and healthcare workers so we talk - and people are talking a lot about car theft this week. Some have seen groups of strangers prowling around in the parking lot looking into cars and first floor apartments. Recent incidents have been reported to management. They are aware and doing nothing, not even a PSA about the mail. Response is that it is what it is, and it's typical crime in a neighborhood - aka, "we're not doing anything about it." No increased security measures or cameras at all or a friendly warning to note let strangers into the building despite people getting into our mail building and walking out with trash bags of mail and packages or cars having things stolen from the parking lot. Not even police reports filed to our knowledge. Residents are taking care of this themselves. At least a PSA as soon as these things are reported. Safety is a concern - it's possible someone will try to rob this place with a weapon - robbery incidents happening often enough to feel targeted. Maintenance requests take forever and you will have to follow up a few times before any action takes place over months. When construction was coming in to do work, communication was bad - like not showing up when they say they will and coming hours or days later unannounced - on several occasions. Nice apartments, poor management. Live here at your own risk."
