Reviews
"Rude people! The front guy does not know how to communicate respectfully."
"I'm going to really miss this place. Excellent value for the size of the apartments, the beautiful rooftop, the unobstructed southern view (a rarity in NYC), and the great location. The doormen are some of the kindest, most genuine people you'll meet, and I'm very much going to miss our daily interactions. They made my day every morning and made the Saranac feel like home for four years. Would highly recommend living here."
"We've lived here for 4 years and finally could not stand it and we moved out. There is construction that starts at 7am every morning and wakes us up even when using earplugs! This construction was supposed to last 1 year, and here we are 3 years later with no end in sight. Much of the gym equipment doesn't work, the TVs are all broken, it's nothing like in the pictures (or even how it was 4 years ago), so definitely check it out before you sign a lease. Each year, the owner increased the lease another $300/mo, without caring about the complaints above and our pleas for a lower rate. Finally, we just had enough and moved out into a nicer apartment nearby for the same price."
"I feel compelled to write a review for the Saranac. We lived here for 2 years and absolutely loved it. The super is very quick if there's ever an issue, the doorman are funny and kind, and our apartment was very quiet - a rare thing in NYC. We enjoyed our time here and had no complaints whatsoever."
"False advertising. They advertise it as being in Tribeca meanwhile it is in chi-town or civic centre which is illegal They trap you into making you believe it is Tribeca and signing the lease and once you find out it's not they don't let you get out of the lease hence illegally keeping your money. Signing under false pretenses The concierge / security is more of a danger rather than security. They illegally accept money from people who are not tenants of the building to keep an eye on the tenants and stalk them also called illegal surveillance They have illegal surveillance in your apartment as well They advertise their one bedrooms as having new appliances meanwhile they are old. Illegal advertising again The walls and windows are super thin you can hear your neighbor having sex and the noise from streets is horrible. You cannot have peaceful sleep Their system is old and out of date Illegal Business"
