"RECONSIDER renting at Skyview Flushing. EVERYTHING costs money. The condo lease application fee is $550. Lease renewal is $350. The average rental application fees for the Flushing area is usually $20 to $300. There's a $1000 "security deposit" (you ain't getting that back) to move in or out if you're using the loading dock elevators. There's also a $50 hourly fee to pay the workers to open the back doors for you. Don't go over 2 hours since they'll be a $200 fine. No the workers won't be helping you move, they're just there to open the doors. Unless you have one or two very small suitcases, you're going to need the loading dock elevators because the front desk will stop you from moving anything larger. If your boxes aren't folded properly before disposing of them, you will get fined a few hundred dollars. Really? That's probably more than the contents of the package. Your curtains have to be beige or off-white, or you risk being fined. Clean up after your pets or you'll be fined (this one's reasonable) You get a key fob to enter the building. That fob will have your picture in the programming, so don't bother lending it to a friend. No it cannot be copied. For the price of a one bedroom in this complex, you can get a two or three bedroom in the same neighborhood. Yes the supermarket and mall is downstairs. But it's New York, where shopping is always within walking distance. Not much of a perk if you ask me."

"Nice condo with huge windows offering great views of city. Possesses good luxury amenities (secure entrance, 2 zone climate control inside your condo with Nest thermostat, large gym, pool and sauna. VERY close to heart of Flushing and all the associated shopping and restaurants. HUGE balcony and very thick glass that blocks most aircraft noise flying overhead to nearby LaGuardia Airport. Management quick to respond via email and in-person!"

"Made an appointment with the management office to see some apartments. When the management office personnel was showing me the apartments and then the outside decks and rooftop pool two Asian men were walking toward us and saying “uuuugh why do they come here” implying with my not being Asian I should not be there. Extremely racist, disgusting place and people. The management office personnel only spoke to me about how many months of rent they want upfront in order to discourage a prospective tenant not surprised after the racist commentary of those tenants on the roof. This was a weekday with not many people home or I would have surely been subjected to more racist, disgusting treatment."

"I went there to visit my cousins. It is situated at the heart of Flushing. It is a Chinese neighborhood, and it is absolutely beautiful. The placing of the apartment is perfect in the sense you will get a good crowd as well as a feeling of family which you will miss in Manhattan. The apartment complex itself is truly an experience. Staff are nice and friendly, the lobby looks like a hotel and very clean. The apartment view from 12L where I stayed in is wonderful. The 2nd floor has a park themed space which is a delight and to be honest I've never seen such an innovation at the heart of Queens! It also has a shopping mall right next to the apartment building (on the ground floor) Overall I love this place."
