"Is the Hamilton a TRUE luxury apartment? Not really. But in context to the surrounding Borough Park/Sunset Park area? This is luxury and by far the best apartment complex in the area. Most Maimonides Medical Center Resident Physicians live here. The rooftop, gym, maintenance, all does the job. Rent has skyrocketed recently but welcome to New York."

"Moved in the building a few weeks ago. Management is very responsive. They came to fix my window within 2 minutes after I sent a request. The maintenance staff is friendly and do a good job keeping the common area clean. Windows are soundproof. Last but not least, the amenities in the building are awesome."

"ORIGINAL REVIEW ~2019/03: I'm a few months into the first year of leasing and so far so good. I'll update review if/when perceptions change. There's a commercial floor at ground level - a standard for the area and NYC apartments more generally. That combined with the busy location means reasonable noise as others have noted, but by my view the Hamilton team has done everything they reasonably can about that. It's modern construction with good noise-proofing and excellent noise-blocking windows. Even on a low floor, I'm not bothered by the noise. Leaving the window open would mean too much noise at night - so I just close them. If you are coming from a quiet rural city, expect additional noise in any NYC apartment. Management has been responsive for maintenance and the common spaces are well kept. The video doorman system has been a bit clunky at times, but gets the job done. Overall, I have not yet had any concerns. UPDATE 2022/04/18: About 3 years in and I'm still here (which should say something). Still happy with the experience. In 3 years, I've only seen one roach, and it was on the cellar floor (no units on the ground or cellar floors, just communal spaces), and have never seen vermin of any kind in my unit. I needed to upgrade units based on work-from-home changes in 2021 (mid lease), and that was professionally and quickly accommodated by the management team. Leaving the review at 5 stars, for a quiet, safe, clean, luxury, and well-managed complex. I will update my review if it no longer becomes representative of the situation, and/or when I have experienced the move-out process (no plans to leave any time soon)."

"This is not a luxury building Elevators consistently down, non responsive to maintenance issues ( 4 months and counting) Roache infestation. Seen in units and also in public areas. Building quality is garbage. Everything is broken and / or excessively worn and not maintained. Unit HVAC's are not fully operational. Excessive noise from the being at the busiest cross streets in the neighborhood. (Emergency vehicles, police, fire and ambulances all come through) Noise from the restaurant and night club attached to the building Trash smell from the restaurant. And power outage in the building."

"BEWARE!!!!!!! If I could give zero stars, I would!!! The WORST company to rent from!! The agent that works with them lied to me about the dog restrictions in the building. I told him specifically that I wanted to rescue a senior pitbull and he told me that as long as the dog was under 80lbs, it wasn't a problem. I am now finding out there are no pitbulls allowed and that the dogs must be under 45 lbs. I have lived in this unit for 3 weeks and have not had a solid night sleep since. I work 12 hour days as a nurse practitioner and need to get proper sleep. The restaurant beneath my unit is INSANELY loud and wakes me up. The bass and karaoke music comes up through the floor and the patrons stand out front and yell at all hours of the night. I have emailed and called this management company asking multiple times if I could switch to a unit on the other side of the building and further up to get away from the noise, but they refuse. Why? It makes no sense. To make things worse, they went on their 10 day holiday and were unavailable for that entire time. If we needed anything I'm those 10 days, we were out of luck. Just yesterday, after me calling and emailing multiple times, I finally got my laundry card so I can do my laundry. I still don't have access to all of the amenities I am paying for because my fob doesn't work and they have yet to replace that. They tell me to just keep trying. I have lived all over NYC and I have never experienced such an awful owner and management company. They don't care if their renters are happy. They just want money. They know they have me hooked into a lease for a year, so they don't care if I can't sleep at night. The lack of sleep is causing me so much stress and is affecting my work. The leasing agent doesn't care if he lies to get people to rent the apt. He just wants the money he makes from those lies. If you value your sleep and prefer to live in a building with a landlord that actually cares about your well-being, NEVER EVER RENT FROM THESE GREEDY MONSTERS."
