"Used to be great, inattentive landlords and bad neighbors had ruined it. Stayed here 4 years and signed a lease elsewhere when my concerns went unaddressed by landlords and rent spiked up 30+% over that timeframe. Can get better quality for the price range."
"If I could rate this as a negative star, I would. The only apartment complex that requires a deposit before seeing the apartment! The outside of the brick building was missing bricks. The smell in the hallway was over whelming of mold and smoke. The apartment itself needed many repairs and updates. Water stains in the master bedroom and window air conditioner was taped to the wall. Save your money and go somewhere else!"
"I really liked living here when I first moved in 3 years ago; however, a new apt manager soon took over who was less friendly and less professional, maintenance started completely ignoring my requests, and the grounds were less well-kept over time. It’s a nice looking complex and the pool was nice to have during the first summer we lived there (it was closed due to the pandemic during my second summer there). However, my windows were filthy/cloudy on the outside and when I asked management about window washing, they said it was the tenant’s responsibility. Really?! I couldn’t even reach the outside of my windows due to all of the overgrown bushes. I called a window washing company intending to pay for their services and they refused to even try to wash the windows - said they hadn’t been washed in decades and it would be less expensive to replace them than try to wash them! And it’s not just about the windows - after paying a $500 nonrefundable pet deposit AND a monthly pet fee on top of my rent, they charged me for damage to the carpeting (my cat was the culprit) - this was taken out of my security deposit. So, I am not exactly sure what the nonrefundable pet deposit and extra monthly charge were for. Bowdoin Square wasn’t the worst apt experience I have ever had (try a Clover Management property for that…), but I would not recommend it."
"The location is the only thing that is great. Although newly remodeled, the basement always floods, parts of the townhouse are always breaking, there are serious rats, including the 1 in OUR TOWNHOUSE and the dead one we found in the bushes. The landscape is rarely maintained and there are akways weeds all over. The back patios are rarely useable because of all the weeds. The air conditioning never consistently works and good luck getting ahold of the office. They never answer, respond, or reply unless they want your initial down payments. So sad that such a nice area has such downfall housing, especially for the price."
"Nice location but some of the people live here are kind of untrustworthy and I believe there is a pit bull here and scared for my children. The townhouse is nice and Tara is great."
