"I found Mario Naim via UpCounsel, and had a terrible experience with him. I posted seeking an attorney to work with us to revise an existing draft agreement. Mr. Naim said he would review the draft, and after claiming to have done so, said he would revise the agreement in 5 hours. Rather than revise the agreement, Mr. Naim proceeded to send a completely different agreement that was obviously a cut and paste of his own form - with names changed. This was not what he was hired to do. Upon being emailed, Mr. Naim resorted to continuous insults, saying that the original agreement was terrible and that I should have known it was so bad that it could not be revised. He did not and could not disagree that he did not provide the service he agreed to provide - which was to revise the agreement. His own form agreement is of no value. As if this wasn't bad enough, despite claiming he had spent 5 hours, Mr. Naim then invoiced more time than that. Mr. Naim's response claims that UpCounsel rejected my position out of hand. In fact, UpCounsel ignored and never responded to my communications, in violation of their own Terms of Use that promises a "dispute resolution process." I would therefore also urge potential clients to be very cautious about whether to use UpCounsel's platform."
