"Love the Bark Park! I recently visited with my relatives who drove in from California! They were highly impressed with the park as well. Both of our dogs LOVE going to this park. It is always so clean and such a pretty place to go and walk around (with or without a dog)."
"Really nice, large park. Busy but lots of parking and very clean and well maintained. Well shaded with large trees, historic architectural features, benches, and surrounded mostly by river."
"This place is great! It's a whole damn island!!!!!!!! They can go co.pmetely bananas and still be safe from any kind of roadway, unless they cross the creek. They can swim, run, there's a wash off station. We met lots of friendly people and friendly dogs, we had a great time! Was very busy in one of the last nice days of fall, about 40 dogs in the park!!! The island is quite large, took us about an hour to take our time and slowly mosey around the waters edge and meet lots of dogs along the way. There is no separate yard or area I noticed for small dogs, but it was getting dark and my first time there, there may be one and I didn't see it. Large parking lot, easy to find, looked like there were restrooms in site as well. What a wonderful place!"
"This island is dog’s heaven. My pup loves it! We’ve met a lot of AMAZING people and their furry friends. But as always, there’s those people who doesn’t care and will bring their reactive, unfriendly dogs. They always ruin it for others. PLEASE! Do not bring your dog, knowing it doesn’t like other dogs. Especially, small 10lbs dogs like mine. Also, I’ve seen a lot of people walk their dogs on a leash. This is off leashes dog park. Keeping your dog in a leash will make him/her frustrated and it’ll lead to dog attacks and aggression. If you want your dog leashed, don’t bring them here. Take them to any other park."
"First time at this fun place, also known as dog Island. After a lot of rain, it was quite muddy when we visited, alas! there is a double gate at the bridge entrance to prevent the puppers from escaping. that area was a bit smelly but the rest of the island was great And clean.. It’s nice and shady and there are places to sit. Will definitely be back on a sunny day."
