Hilton Garden Inn Albany/SUNY Area 1389 Washington Avenue, Albany, NY 12206

"The advertising shows there is a pool. There was masking tape over where the pool had been on the directory but no one told us till we were there and there had been numerous emails sent prior to check in not one mentioned no pool. Also, gym only good for maybe a couple and to alternate equipment use. Only one bench and light weights not enough room for proper stretching if more than 2 persons want to use Ata time. Rooms are clean but molding had been cracked and painted over and tub needs refinishing.other wise beds were comfortable and natural light in rooms are sufficient for comfort"

"Fantastic service at the front desk, Casey did a fantastic job and was very personable. Lobby as well as my room and basicly the rest of the hotel looks perfectly clean, but still felt warm and comfortable. Food was fairly priced and served fast and presented nicely, and the drink service was also very well done. In a good area as well if your visiting Albany like me, worth a stop!"

"Last minute stay. The place is clean and nice. Front desk staff was really kind and helpful. It’s great that there was a bar after the day I had in Albany needed a nice nightcap in a good environment. And the restaurant onsite was a good touch. Morning coffee was delicious."

"Very disappointed with my stay at this Hilton. Honestly I think their reviews are extremely over rated. The room was not up to standard. My family and I overpaid for a one night stay and then the bathroom was not fully functional. The bathroom light was out, we reported it to the desk manager and no one arrived even after waiting for over an hour. We were informed that he was still making his rounds, upon checkout. The bathroom shower head would also not stay in place it would roll down the handle bar as we were given a room for people with physical disabilities, had I actually had one I would have been extremely upset. I also booked this hotel via Expedia where it said breakfast was included and no it was not, $10 a person for breakfast that all other hotels usually include it for free. I do not recommend this hotel at all. Tons of other options in the Albany area."

"As I’m traveling for work, the hotels in this area are the only once close enough to get to and from the office efficiently. The lobby of the Hilton Garden Inn has very clearly been redone and remodeled, however the rooms seemed as though they hadn’t been touched since the early 00’s. Carpet felt dirty beneath my feet so wore my shoes the whole time, bedding was stained and when I asked for a new comforter, I was never brought one. TV and tech in the room is not updated, and although this isn’t a big deal to many, those who are used to those accommodations would be disappointed to see there isn’t any. AC unit was loud and dirty/dusty as well — don’t try to change the temp on the actual unit though — you need to use the wall unit to adjust temp. Bed was comfortable, but again as the whole room seemed uncomfortable, it was a restless nights sleep."
