Motel 6 Albany, NY

"It's a low budget hotel but you get what you pay for,right? It's less then $100.00 a night and was easy to check in...I have 2 small dogs which wasn't an issue at all as they accept pets..it's actually very quiet but then my stay was in the end of January which I would assume is the slow time...the rooms were very clean and was given extra towels with no issues either...they have a laundry room so it was able to do some of my laundry there as well...The only issues I had was it was late at night when I got in and when I went to shower I couldn't get hot water but more like very luke warm (more cold then warm) and when opening dresser drawer it was broken...also there's type of cooking machinery such as microwave toaster coffee maker in room...there's one microwave in lobby guests can use but at times there's a wait , I mean one microwave for 2 floors of rooms...I had a good stay except for the shower...staff was respectful and very pleasing but could be a bit more friendly I think but they did their jobs as described in their ad...I stayed for a total of 3weeks and even with the place being a but run down from the outside and a bit intimidating as far as safety concerns i didn't have one isse within my stay nor did I witness any other issues within of quests"

"First room had hair in the bed and hair in the bathroom sink and a light not working, second room was thankfully better - some long hairs on the side edge of the bed, but we were tired and didn't bother getting another room. Not really worth the $100 per night for our 2 night stay to visit a friend."

"This motel is in a bad location The staff if they realize that you're from the area and using the motel because you don't have a home they will let people in your room when you're gone. Some people are getting rooms for extended stays at very low prices as specials like for friends or people who are special to them. Some people are getting free days because they have mistakes made so these are where the positive reviews are coming from. Maybe! This area has gunshots. The rooms are not that great they're very noisy. I would not recommend staying here. And you have to bring some cleaners with you to clean your room and freshen up the rugs. This motel is very expensive. The only reason people use hotels like they do here is because deposits in Albany New York are very very expensive. There's so much scamming of people's money there's so much people that are homeless."

"I booked this room in August out of desperation and got exactly what I booked. Filthy, filthier and filthiest. Manager water downs the windex he gives the cleaning people to work with. Smoking room hadnt been cleaned in what seemed years. Brown curtains, filthy light covers, black mold. BLACK MOLD for God's sake. Should be torn diwn and the screaming owners not allowed in this business. I spent the first two hours of my stay there cleaning and the front desk person couldn't be bothered to even come look at the issues. After leaving early, though I couldn't really afford to do so, manager called me yelling at me. Demolish this purgatory of a building."

"I'm honestly very very confused on how there are any good reviews for this location. We stayed at this location on a spur of the moment trip to Albany for a concert. There weren't many locations with rooms left, I chose this one based on the "decent" reviews, and the price. I wish I would have just invested a little more money into a different hotel. From the moment we walked in, you see signs for no smoking, even on the floor we were on - but the whole building smells like smoke. Not a big deal I can deal with that. The biggest thing was the cleanliness of the room - it was disgusting. The sheets looked dingy, the floors were dirty, bathtub dirty. We wound up going to a local store to buy our own blankets to use. Also, the room we were in, the lock on the door you could tell was barely on the frame - it looked like someone broke into the room, so we barely slept due to this as well, and the fact you could hear every kid yelling on the floor. Do your self a favor & choose somewhere else to stay!"
