"Last minute trip for the weekend snow with the family. Stayed at the Howland House. Great place to stay. Welcoming, quiet, and clean. Wonderful people too. The croissants are delicious. Highly recommend. Will stay there again for sure."
"Homeland House is nestled among the Catskills mountains. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The rooms are quaint and comfortable. The owners are available at all hours and quick to help. I will be coming back during the leaf changing season for sure!"
"Lovely inn, large grounds and original wood floors with gorgeous updated walls and woodwork. We had a king bed and the room was great, large and very quiet. The owners have done an amazing renovation job and we can't wait to see the new (antique woodwork) bar and restaurant when it's finished. The bed was so comfortable that we fell asleep in minutes. We were there for a wedding so they provided an iron and ironing board as well as coffee and pastries in the morning."
"My friend and I were hiking in the Catskills recently when our plans were thwarted by some very serious thunder and lightening storms. We thought it was better to try and find a place to stay that wasn't on top of the mountain in a tent. Many places were booked since it was the weekend. Fortunately for us, the Howland House had a recent cancellation. We spoke with William, who was absolutely wonderful and very patient with us. Staying at a B & B was not in our original plans or budget, and things just seemed to work out. After arrival, we turned on the AC in our room to cool it off and headed outside to grill our dinner. (We brought our travel grill from home...this was not at the B & B.) William lit the fire pit for us and we sat around the fire eating our dinner, having some drinks and some great conversation...until the dreaded storm showed it's face. We stayed in Room #4. I loved the fact that there were no televisions in the room. The bathroom was amazing and it was equipped with heated floor. The room was simply charming, and we had the best nights sleep! The breakfast was simple as they are still working on the remaining part of the house. I would absolutely recommend staying with William and Eva! They are wonderful hosts who have created a beautiful place to truly relax!"
"Had the pleasure of staying here while attending a weekend of wedding festivities at Onteora Mountain House ("
