"We were at the Pawling House B&B this past weekend. We had a wedding. The place was fantastic. It was very spacious, clean, and Rosalinda and her staff couldn't do more for us. They were so accommodating and organized. All the goodies they prepared when we arrived were so welcoming and breakfast the next morning was delicious. It felt like home away from home."

"This quaint, treasure is nestled on the hillside of Pawling, NY beside a rolling stream. Ms. Rosalind Weiner and her staff create a warm, inviting, retreat inside this historic home. Pastries, fruit, snacks, and an assortment of beverages are readily available day and night. Sitting areas in the parlor, outdoors on the porch and by the stream are perfect for reading, enjoy conversations or admiring the rabbits, deer, birds and various wildlife. In the morning you will awake to a three course breakfast. During our stay we enjoyed fresh fruit, granola, yogurt, a freshly prepared vegetable frittata with fried potatoes and a sweet cake of blue berry and peaches, plenty of coffee, juice, and an assortment of teas. We were traveling with our 17 year old son and The Archibald Suite was a perfect fit. The room offers a tiled spacious bathroom with whirlpool bath, luxurious linens, comfortable bed and futon, TV, WiFi, and beautiful views. I hope you have a chance to fully enjoy this peaceful refuge by taking the time to absorb the tranquility of this property. Regardless of your schedule, Ms. Rosalinda and her staff will ensure your stay is delightful!"

"Rosalinda and her staff go out of their way to make every guest feel welcome and special! You hear that all the time but she goes extra EXTRA steps to make you surprised and delighted. My newlywed wife and I received the A+++ treatment for our one night there! It made an already great trip even more wonderful. The house is gorgeous and old and while many older places are dark and musty Pauling B & B is beautiful, bright and colorful with stained glass and all sorts of nice touches. Every room is memorable. The breakfasts are a work of art (all of us were taking pics of our food before we dug in)! The eating area is cozy and intimate and we met people from around the corner and around the world. One couple was on a tour of the US from Singapore. The house is down the street from Daryl’s House where we go to see our favorite acts playing in an up-close, intimate setting. Can’t wait to return in warmer weather so we can sit in the Adirondack chairs by the meandering stream right outside our rooms! Thank you Rosalinda!"

"It is a beautiful place, but I'm a little bit of a snob when it comes to hotels, so take my review with a grain of salt. I definitely agree with all other reviews. Beautiful venue, beautiful surroundings, and the room was CLEAN! I was not expecting that from a historic home. Mattress was quite soft which made for a tossy-turny night. I've never stayed at a B&B before, and I realize that my predictions were spot on - it's just a little *too* personal for me. Most people who choose B&B's expect and welcome that, but I'm a fan of anonymity when staying somewhere. If you like bed and breakfast hotels, you'll love this place, no question. If you're a hotel person that just likes clean quarters and can deal with small talk and chatting, probably okay. If you are introverted and like to just be left alone and be anonymous, probably not. Like I said, absolutely nothing wrong with this place, I just prefer my own space. In the end, you will most likely love this place because most people aren't crazy shy like me :)"

"As the house is a former house of one of my great-great-great (too many greats to count) cousin, my biases should be obvious. But biases aside (as much as I can), this was one of THE great escapes for a NYC resident to have. The surroundings are incredibly peaceful, and the history of the house provides not only incredibly satisfying respite, but a narrative of American history that only adds to your experience. The cherry on top of such a wonderful experience is the breakfast provided by Rosalinda: a truly remarkable and beyond-impressive display of service, talent, and culinary brilliance that fulfills all your senses. Additionally, Rosalinda is a fantastic person who not only excels at her many-many-MANY talents, but she LOVES doing what she does, which only adds to the excellent experience you get at the Pawling House. In short, the Pawling House and ALL that provides is an experience one MUST have while living in the state of New York - ESPECIALLY if you need a break from the hustle-and-bustle of NYC living!"
