"Location is good. Central to a lot of your popular attractions in Rochester (Minutes from science museums). Room was fantastic, one of the first hyatts’ I’ve actually seen with wooden floors in the room. Very comfortable and spacious. Staff was highly accommodating in the evening with my family. Heated pool was comfortable for the evening."
"So disappointing for a Hyatt. Corporate should do a drop in and check out the rooms. In the first room my daughter found several used hypodermic needles collected near the coffee maker and took them to the front desk. Thank God her three year old didn’t find them first!! We moved to a different floor and into connecting rooms. I specifically requested NOT near the elevator. So they put me as close to the elevator as possible. Sheets did not fit the bed and they put a full size mattress pad on the King size bed. Floors were filthy when I wiped up a water spill my granddaughter had. Windows and cills were filthy. Apparently the maid service needs new training. Absolutely no water pressure in either room. Do not use the coffee maker. I ran it through with just water. Glad I did - it was nasty. Advertised there was a Starbucks on property - nope. Coffee in lobby was nasty. Actually shouldn’t have tried it after the coffee maker finding. The restaurant was closed so we had to eat in the bar area. The food was good. The front desk people were nice. Aside from the one that assigned me near the elevator! I’ve stayed at Hyatt in several different locations in the US. This one is a joke. I do not recommend it. I will not be returning."
"This was an "okay" experience. None of the cons were horrible independently, but it they didn't make me want to come back or recommend it. Pros: Front desk staff was helpful. It is walking distance to a variety of places downtown. They offer a discounted parking pass for parking. Cons The shower was dirty. We booked to include breakfast, and we were charged for breakfast the next morning as an "incidental". The bed in our room sagged in the middle. We asked the lobby bar about purchasing coffee since an espresso machine was visible, they sent us to the restaurant downstairs, and the restaurant let us know the bar could serve us upstairs."
"Be very careful. This is a couple notches below most Hyatt Regency hotels. There are no glasses in the room, only plastic cups. The soap bars are tiny and very low quality. The rooms are spartan, with no artwork and nothing that welcomes the guest. Call room service and no one answers the phone. One is asked to leave a message. We went down to the front desk to inquire whether room service really existed. They directed us to the bar, where our room service order was reluctantly taken. The one bright spot was that the food brought to our room was excellent. And the food came quickly too, delivered by a cheerful young gentleman. For the most part, staff was friendly and well-intentioned. But downtown Rochester is badly in need of a hotel with strong guest services and sparking amenities. Most Hyatt Regencies provide this. Not this one, at least not this time."
"TLDR; no vent in bathroom, gets hot and steamy. Rooms can feel dark Paid parking garage 12$ a day Walking distance to arena 10 minutes First thing is first, you have to pay for any food they offer in the hotel. Most the time I do try to get the free breakfast spots but this is not one of them. That's fine to me I can live with it. The beds are firm. The pillows are small square and thin. The ac and heat in the room is a 10 x 10 square in the corner of the room. There is no vent in the bathroom so it will get hot and steamy very quickly. Parking was 12$ a day in their parking garage. There is a bar that sells food for dinner in the lobby. Located 10minutes walk from the arena for those that book this place for a concert of other event."
