"The bar was set so low it was in the ground but you guys brought a shovel! Despite leaving homemade baked goods or cash tip for our postal worker every Christmas he has, for reasons unknown to me, decided that he doesn't need to provide us with the full range of postal services. I am under this assumption since for the 2nd day in a row he has put down our flag and left the letter and money to mail it with in our post box! Do I have to "know someone" or pay extra to get decent service? I ask fully expecting to never receive any contact from the Waynesville post office....I mean why would they suddenly start providing customer service now? Right?"
"Not holding mail as requested, so shoved inside mailbox until sticking out back and getting wet. Can’t give zero stars. They definitely practice selective delivery"
"They consistently dot Not “attempt Delevery” then leave a card saying item heavy and want someone to come pick up. Then they tell Amazon they “attempted Delevery”. They don’t. We have cameras and people at home all the time. The other thing they like to do is leave a card saying to “heavy for this load” and tell us to come get it. Then tell Amazon it “delivered” this happens Amazon monthly. Waynesville USPS just doesn’t want to bring boxes or anything heavy. We find smaller packages laying on the street. And we have had people from another neighborhood come to our house and say “we found this package in the middle of our road” this particular package was worth over 100$ It’s one thing to be understaffed, it’s another to keep lying and telling people they attempted to deliver, or that they did deliver and then ask us to come pick it up. United States, Postal Service, Waynesville, North Carolina has been this way for the last 8 years at this location that we’ve lived at. The only time that we find an Amazon can keep their promise on a delivery day is if they use UPS or FedEx. Those guys are great. Can we get some new leadership out in waynesville?"
"Was supposed to get my package on Thursday then it got delayed to Friday and now I get a message saying that they couldn’t access the delivery address which is a lie because I have had FedEx deliver today around the same time and also had UPS deliver today and they had no problems delivering. We have road work on our road so they just didn’t want to drive through it I guess and just left. I will be going to pick my package up Saturday morning because I don’t trust them to try and deliver it again."
"Before today, I have never had a problem with mail carriers delivering packages larger than my mailbox to my door. I got a notification this morning that the larger package I was expecting was undeliverable. Upon calling the post office, I was informed that they didn't deliver packages to homes that were distanced from the mailbox and I would need to come to the post office to pick it up. Excuse me, but isn't my box where the local post office requested it be placed??? And didn't I pay a fee to have my item delivered to me??? I asked that the package be redelivered to my door as usual and was told it would be. I went out couple of hours later only to find my $200 package propped up against my mailbox, which (once again per USPS request) is not able to be seen from my home. It's very fortunate I had to go out, otherwise my expensive package could have ended up anywhere. I completely understand that mail delivery is difficult during periods of snow and ice, but a beautiful 65 degree morning is a different story. In case you were wondering- I live at the end of a short road mail carriers pass daily, not 10 miles past the middle of nowhere. So speak up; politely, but firmly insist your package be delivered according to instructions, and don't let this become the new normal in rural communities."
