"My first visit to Albany Gastroenterology was about two years ago when I had a routine colonoscopy. This visit was positive in every way. I later visited Dr. Choma over a year ago to review a medical result from another test I had taken elsewhere. I found Dr. Choma to be very thorough and patient with the questions I had. Dr. Choma reviewed the issues and requested that I return in a year. Ten months later I had a call from his office to schedule an Endoscopy. The scheduling was very easy to arrange. The Albany Gastroenterology Patient Portal is excellent and user friendly. Scheduling the Endoscopy was confirmed quickly, as was much of the information that one would normally complete in a waiting room. I could finish it all online, and then it was reviewed by a nurse who scheduled a phone call to review my prescriptions and asked a few other questions. The Endoscopy itself was exactly as it had been explained to me, and Dr. Choma stopped to see me after the surgery with a summary of what took place. Originally, I has been scheduled for an afternoon appointment, and I had asked to be contacted if an earlier appointment was possible. A couple of days before the endoscopy I had a text message from the staff member with whom I had communicated asking if I was still interested in an early morning appointment. I said yes and that was scheduled. I was extremely pleased with all aspects of the care I received from Dr. Choma, and everyone in the practice. This is an extremely professional and patient friendly practice and I highly recommend it."
