"Best hospital in Rochester area for birth. My wife delivered twice here. Staff were kind and respectful of mom's choices. The lactation consultant was really helpful. Breakfast buffet was a nice touch even though the food wasn't the best quality."
"Best experience ever ! Not one staff member was mean , they were all full of compassion and knew exactly what they were doing"
"I had my daughter here in June of 2019. I was 18, freshly married, and so excited to have my baby girl. I had one nurse named Christine, who I will never forget. I had noticed that my hospital bracelet said my maiden name, and mentioned that I was disappointed, because I had always intended on keeping them forever. She immediately, without me even having to ask, printed me a new one with the correct last name. That small gesture made me feel so respected, and so seen and heard, I was floored. Not many doctors, nurses, friends or family respected me or my choice to get married and become a mother at 18, but this woman who I had met 5 minutes before hand did. She continued to show me great kindness, empathy and the upmost care throughout my delivery. I have a photo of her beaming down at me and my daughter right after she was born that I will cherish forever. The doctor who delivered my daughter was kind, but rushed. I expressed my desire for delayed cord clamping, and he only let her get about 30-60 seconds attached before clamping it. I was upset, but too caught up in the moment with my newborn to say anything. In hindsight I wish I had pushed for more time, but other than that, my care here was exceptional. The postpartum nurses were so kind, the delivery staff, everyone. My daughter had to stay in the special care unit for two days and the nurses there were also very kind, understanding and warm. They helped me cope, take care of myself, learn to breastfeed, and I knew in the moments I was away, my girl was taken great care of. I would deliver here again in a HEARTBEAT."
"Loved it here. They listened to my needs, fears and truly followed my birth plan, even following along when I changed my mind on something at the end. They were so caring, and let me eat up until the last possible moment during my induction. Very informative, answered all my questions about everything as we went along. We recieved awesome care the entire time. The breastfeeding specialist even came back an extra time at our request. Responded quickly when buzzed about an infant care question. My boyfriend and my mom had a place to take turns sleeping. We got a huge breakfast buffet after birth for myself and a guest. Highly recommend."
"I give Highland 5 stars because of the amazing team of nurses and other staff members and their above-and-beyond attitudes. I was treated with the utmost care and kindness. My delivery was not my own. It was shared by an entire team of dedicated women who cared for and encouraged me through the biggest challenge I have ever faced. Their dedication and thoughtfulness has touched my heart and changed my life forever."
