"This is not my type of food. Tried the roast beef sandwich and salad. The roast beef sandwich was so greasy. Had to ask for more dressing for the salad because they give so little. The sourdough bread on 2 of the sandwiches were old. The edges were hard unlike what you would expect from fresh sourdough. The music in the place was so loud we could not hear the waitress. All in the party ordered basically the same thing. Salad and half sandwich. 2 came out then 10 minutes later the 3rd came out."
"Very good food. The staff is very friendly. The only thing to know is there is usually a big wait. You can call ahead to save a spot in line, but they do not take reservations."
"I'll give First watch the benefit of the doubt concerning their problems. After all, we did go at 9am on a Saturday. It was incredibly busy and we should have known better than to go on that day and time. Won't make that mistake again. We were told it would be 30-40 min wait, which sounded reasonable. Ended up being closer to an hour. Wait for food was a bit long but it was tasty. Had the egg sandwich. I think there was a manager but that person wasn't directing the cleaning staff. 5 tables at one time were left without anyone cleaning them for a while. 2 cleaners carried bins to put dishware in but 2 others were making multiple trips to the kitchen carrying only 2 or 3 items. Very inefficient. The workers with the bins were the smart ones. When tables aren't cleaned quickly you can't seat the guests and too many tables took too long to be cleaned. Should have been 2 workers putting dishes in bins with one or two going behind them cleaning the tables. We did see a worker sweep under a table after kids dropped food. Good move. Overall the staff were pleasant and never frazzled in spite of the chaos. I'll try again a different day and time to see if there is improvement. Located in a new strip development off 129 across from Chipotle and a huge apartment complex."
"First Watch is a Southern staple, they are a great quality breakfast restaurant, and always a treat. I was super excited when I saw they were opening a location in the Alcoa/Maryville area. The restaurant was packed when we went there, even though we had checked in online we still had about a 15 minute wait. We didn't have to wait too long for service, and our server was attentive. The BLT Benedict was delicious, and my son LOVES their Belgian waffles. Their elevated egg sandwich is my favorite, I do prefer the eggs well done, and while that was requested the sandwich came with runny yolk..a small issue and something I am used to happening. Overall we will definitely be back, a great breakfast restaurant addition to the area!"
"So happy to finally have a brunch destination in Blount County. The juice drinks are a refreshing treat, coffee that is so wholesome. The service is outstanding and the atmosphere is classy. Highly recommend that crispy bacon, humongous pancakes, and whatever it is your heart desires."
